  1. I wish the 2 guys luck, but really putting their own lives in danger.

The most likely outcome from these two guys actions will be 2 more unsolvable Farang murders.

The only way to enjoy life in Thailand is to keep your head down and out of the limelight.

I cannot fathom why any guy with enough clues to accumulate a reasonable nest egg, would not have the brains to keep it separate to any Thai union/marriage. There are so many cases similar to this, why dont the guys think with their brains.

I tend to agree with the post above...best step is not get married to start with. Play them at their own game.

Surely most guys now know, in the Thai dictionary "Love" is spelt M O N E Y

before I "cash in" and move to BKK with Thai GF, I am going to have this short post tattooed on my forehead (in reverse) so I can read every morning in mirror when I shave....just as a reality check! Thank you!

  2. This is a "Hong Kong Lite" check-in service. In HK, one can check in for numerous airlines at the Central HK Airport Express train station, not just HK "flagship" airlines like Cathay Pacific, as Swampy is doing by only providing check-in for Thai and Bangkok Airways "initially". Let's see how long it takes them to establish check-in services for other airlines.

Still, better than what it is now. But if Thailand wants Swampy to be one of the world's top 10 airports.....hmmmmmmm....not quite ready for Prime Time just yet.

In HK can also check in at Kowloon Airport Express station...not sure why, but I have received more upgrades at this check in than any other airport check-in I use throughout the world... :-)

  3. @ 400 THB

There was only a short period of public trial runs so far. The full test run, open to the public, is scheduled to start on December 5. The official opening is now set for April 2010. Cost for a ticket will be 150 Baht for a single journey between airport and city terminal.

Not sure if im becoming tight-fisted in my old-age (probably am), but 150bt seems quite expensive considering the general cost of public transport and taxis around town.

Remember airport bus from DM?It was 100B,so 150B on new rail link doesnt seem to much.Similar train in HK cost also 100,but HK$ which is 5 times more!

In KL it costs about 350B;in Singapore - may be 40B only(it is regular MRT not airport train)

Could I ask here,on the same shot - how much is normal taxi fare(meter) from new airport to Morchit bus station? Thanks for any advice,I hate to be

    overcharged.
