Other countries have big fines and loss of demerit points and still catch hundreds of phoe users every week. Thailand has no chance of stopping it. It is the norm for drivers and riders to be on the phone.

Gen Prawit orders swift assistance for flood victims

The fat toad is doing the only thing he knows (apart from lying, stealing, BSing and more) Sitting behind an empty desk and telling other people to solve the problems that he is supposed to be sorting out. This is one toad that does not like water ! -
Thai authorities love giving out precise numbers. How do they know that 6591 people were closely affected by this terrible incident ? Did they interview the whole area ? Something like this will affect a far greater number than what they say and it will last for many years. Many people will be growing up without family members and friends.

Hua Hin to get high speed train by 2032

Thailand cant even manage a low speed train service ! Got no chance of this ever happening. -
Covid has gone from a very dangerous communicable to one that no government cares about any more ! Every country needs money and they really dont care where it comes from. Here in Western Australia the state was in full lockdown when there were 2 covid cases ! Now there are still about 700 new cases every day and the government cares so little that they only give out any figures on a weekly basis and have closed down most testing facilities. Now they have decided that if you do test positive that you dont even have to isolate for 5 days. Just walk around and spread it amongst the community, take it to work and dont tell anyone.

Health Ministry to Stop Reporting Daily COVID Cases on Oct 1
jaiyen replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Why do so many people think that Covid is disappearing ? It is still rampant in may countries but authorities have just given up and many countries cant be bothered to announce numbers of infections. It seems that all they care about now is tourism. Here in Western Australia we went into a full lockdown when there were 2 cases reported at the beginning. Now there are still about 1000 per day and nobody cares.- 49 replies

My reasoning is that if the taxi driver is such an A hole that he doesnt want to take me then I don't want to give him my business. There are plenty of others. It is mostly the old ones that are a problem. Have had many enjoyable rides with young guys trying to make a living and learn English. When I am at the airport I will always choose a young driver to take me into BKK. Never had any problems. But the fares do need to increase ! They are so low, so I will give a decent tip if the driver is good.

They must have seen the video of the Aussie guy with his powered surfboard in Venice. He copped a nice fine for that. -
The problem goes back decades when developments such as high rises, shopping centres and motorways were built and where there were streams, rivers and natural water drainage, they were all filled in and covered with concrete. So the water has nowhere to go. And therein lies the problem. There is no way to fix it and Bangkok keeps on sinking !

Prawit is definitely more like a caretaker than a Prime Minister.
