  1. If I have a one-way ticket, the airline want to see a return ticket, I have a retirement visa so I was accepted. My friend does not and he was forced to buy a one way return ticket.

    I fly Thai.

Normally I buy a BKK-CPH-BKK as it has a better price, they are so rich in Denmark that Thai just add 5-10%, if from CPH. So I allways end up with a one way CPH-BKK.

    Take care

  2. Raid 5 will be enough. Install Team Viewer and find a PC firm to help you one time, to set it up. Raid 5 needs 3 hard disk and it cost you one disk in capacity.

With TeamViever the PC firm can acces your system and repair/clean it.

It is what I do, my friends in Denmark do it when too complicated for me. Use Google Browser and Libre Office (free and Microsoft cant`t get any payment from you later) and you save a lot of money. You can mail me and get the adress for a local PCfirm in Chonburi They could go to Bangkok if needed but transpotation of 1½ hour costs.

    My firm www.danbit.xxxx-operate with them.

  3. It seems as the Military can clean up a lot.

Thailand is far out, too much Corruption and Nepotism. It will take generations to get rid of.

Not a easy way it has been in the system too long. The Thais I meet seems to find it OK with the clean up.

As a Farang I just observe and I hope they get succes, demokrati is for developed countries with a educated population and even then is is not of much value.

Many countries are better controlled by the Military.

I hope the Military is clean and can clean up the Police, from the top down.

  4. I always get a fine service at Thai even at economy but they are more bussy there. And TG stewardesses are young for me I am only 74 years young. Only one time in First Class, too much ,fine service. Allways very polite at check in, I like to keep my Gold Card but as Scandinavian I will loose it, as Norwegian seems to be better priced, but let´s see if they have too many delays.

  5. I like to fly Thai, but can be upset with some prices. I just got a ticket BKK-CPH-BKK with Norwegian for 53.000 in their Premium Class where Thai ask 83.000 both direct flights.

But strange 20% higher price if you start from Europe !

In the peak season the price at Norwegian is higher. EVA AIR BKK-AMS-BKK is about 50.000 in de-luxe class.

I just got a business class BKK-HKG-BKK with Kenyan Airline for 445$ Thai asks 831$ and on economy 384$ (Show time in October)

The problem at Thai is probably that they keep the old sacked staff in administration with full salery but without any function. Who get free tickets ?

If they need some cash they could offer 5 x return ticket, prepaid. If business is with vacant seats offer them for a little fee extra - pure profit, Austrian Airlines do it.

Egypt Air to Europe in Business Class (Star Alliance) better prices but no alcohol and terrible lounge in Cairo.

Emirates on economy - stay away they, have like Norwegian, not room for the legs Business OK, but price too high..

  6. I fly Thai often, good service.

They can earn more, they could sell the empty business at check-in to a reduces price with food from econimy.. Pure profit.

I meet some police, military flying for free - why - they are well paid and can afford to pay. Some airline staff too but let all pay additional if business and premium economy. Free ticket for those who fly often and paid with miles.

When high ranking staff are sacked they get a office keep their staff and do nothing close that system.

Thai need some staff at the telephones I often get a machin speaking too fast for me to understand, so I normally call Thai in Copenhagen, no machine and higher paid staff, but they can do as much as they can in Bangkok - so keep some people in Bangkok, who can talk in the telephones and help customers.

Next trip is to TPE with EVA Air, why - they offer a few Business Class seats to a low price, they know, they can´t sell all of them so better get some additional profit. Next again with EVA to Amsterdam, they have a good price for Premium Economy. Business Class to Scandinavia is best with FinnAir but I am a frequent flyer at Thai and they have the best program, second to none.

  7. I do not understand the economy in Thailand. I am surprised I see new condoes and small houses build everywhere in Thailand. Who can afford to buy and live there ? With all that activity in the housing market it seems strange, that there could be a recession, before the market (banks) crash. The building activity must be in the BNP ?

  8. Thai is not so bad. Emirates have low costs due to low paid staff. Thai have direct connections to Europe, Emirates give you a stay in Dubai for 3-5 hours.

Frequent flyer program is second to none with Thai. Emirates is second to all. Premium class to Scandinavia is fine but they have increased the price too much but they have limited space on 777. I just changed to EVA air and get a connection from Amsterdam, they have a Elite Class, not so nice as the Thai Premium in 777 but similar to that in 747 and 30% lower price. Egypt Air low price on Business but only from Europe the other way high price. I wonder why, Egypt is fine for the kidneys no halal alcohol.

I did have a fight with Thai, in the member handbook did they have info about the miles needed to a free ticket BKK-CPH-BKK but they took much more after a 2 weeks fight did they mention it in the handbook. They showed it on another page - it is not rocket science to make a home page correct.. Thai have some low level staff in management.

Telephone service is again second to all, I normally gives up and get answers from Thai in Copenhagen. there are too many answering machines in Bangkok.

Thai have too many free riders from the official Thailand, let them pay. If some retire they take their staff and get a office and it costs a lot of money, could be the have some corruption too.

I did try Air Asia but only once, wrong airport (for me) queue and difficult to understand what to pay for. staff OK but to low pitch, only use able for short trips. Thai could offer a discount price for vacant seats in Business and First just like Emirates do from time to time, it is pure profit. Just offer it at check in. I still like Thai and hope they can generate some profit. At my last flight from Dubai to Bangkok they welcomed me with Mr. Jensen, very surpriced OK with 5% more.

It upset me a little that they offer so much for eg. American Express credit cards but only issued in Thailand - I am not able to get one, I do not work in Thailand but stay here 8 months, so with American Express use Singapore Airlines there you get the miles. Now Emirates offer miles from American Express $ cards.

Few adjustments from Thai and they can operate with profit
