anyone knows the current prices of iPads at MBK?

The last price I heard was 20500 Baht for a 16GB Wifi.

I went to MBK today and asked at three different little shops ...

iPad 3G 32GB are quoted at Baht 39,000... (thats like a Baht 15,000 premium over US prices)

if it was Baht 29,000 I would grab one...but Ill wait for now and save for the iPhone 4G (in June or July?)

Yep, I think exactly the same. The iPad prices will fall if iPhone 4G is out and iPads in Singapore will be available. it's better to wait 2 month more.

Yes, you are right. It will be Sep/Oct that the iPad comes to Thailand.

But I guess when the iPad will be available in all Apple stores in Hong Kong and Singapore, the prices will fall to a fair level in MBK.

release dates of the iPad:

May 28: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

July: Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore.

Can you recall the iPad 3G prices even in approximates?

I just asked about the 32 GB version at MBK. The price for the 3G was 39000. In many shops it was sold out. But this price is still too much for me. In Germany you can buy the 32GB 3G for 27000 now. In July the iPad officially comes to Thailand. I guess the prices in MBK will fall on a normal level than.

I was at MKB yesterday. There was no iPad 3G available. I asked 10 stores or more. From where you got your information?

The iPad Wi-Fi (32GB) I could bring down to 26000 Baht.

Well, Apple will sell the iPad in Europe end of May. The price will be 499,-€, that's 21662 Baht for the 16Gb version. So, I think the the price at MBK is quite good.
