Seriously? It perfectly describes how the people react to the criticism. And while there the other things will have a highest level of priority but the perfect customer service for tourists, there won't be the tourists here. TAT wishes to have millions of tourists visiting Thailand every day? Great then! Start with teaching the locals of how to respect the tourists and what depends on this respect, particularly for this locals.

What an extreme opinion! Not going to happen and not desirable for anyone really. Most people from native English speaking countries speak only that - have you noticed? I am fluent in two languages.

I raised in Siberia and I have to tell you that it has nothing with where that "drunk, rude etc" person came from. He might be from any part of Russia, even from Moscow. There's everywhere a place for <deleted>. And one more thing - didn't you ever think of that people speaking Russian are not necessarily Russians themselves. They might be Ukrainians, Belarus, Kazakh, Kyrgyz etc.

Time for Thailand to get smart and change visa rules for Russians as well.

How about Hungarians, Romanians, British, French people as well? They also do the crimes here in Thailand from time to time =) Changing the visa rules is not the solution.

At the tour operator companies which bring these people here for holidays no one even care of telling the customers about what they can and cannot do while they're here. We can blame them for stupidity but shouldn't we blame their tour operator companies as well for not taking any appropriate action to find the solution?

By the way, I hope we're not going to see more of Russia's organized crime characters and problems surfacing here in Thailand.

Chalong Bay is the other side of the Island from Patong, near Phuket Town.

If it won't hit tourists it will hit local people then.... and Phang Nga bay, Krabi islands and Phi Phi islands....

So it will hit toursim anyway. Less tourists will want to go there so many tour counters will lose their money
