  1. Women are not sexual beings in the same way as men.

Can I ask if you are a man or a woman?

Imo the above statement is complete rubbish. Women are just as sexual as men, they're simply 'not supposed to be' as decided by society.

To men sex is a way of bonding with a woman. This is why a man can fall in love very quickly (prostitutes included) after only one sex session because the bonding has taken place.

Women have a totally different perception of sexual intercourse. They use sex as a way of gaining something they want. The attachment to a man, children, status or an income as in prostitution.

Wow, you talk a lot of rubbish.

Very few, if any women experience orgasm. Not like as in porn movies that is all faked. I have known women who went without sex for years and it did not bother them. This is one reason women are known to go off sex once they are married, established and had children. Because they have gained what they want. If the woman decides to find another guy, she begins the whole process again. Sex to archive..

    Hahahahahahaha.

Ok, either you are a man who is rubbish in bed and is trying to justify it, or a very very unlucky woman.

For men, having intercourse with someone they don't fancy may seem repulsive; this is because men consider sex and love as a team. But for women sex and love is often 2 completely different functions.

    :D

This has to be one of the funniest posts I've read in a long time. Fair play!

On the topic itself, no, it's not wrong, and it shouldn't be illegal. Along as both parties consent and are of legal age.

  2. Your comments are very correct, but putting it in a curriculum requires that it be palatable to the prevailing cultural attitudes. In Thailand, those are a little restrictive--as they are in most countries.

Yep, which unfortunately can lead to kids actually having sex before getting any proper sex education.

  3. Why did you do that?

Because they were kids? Were you never in a class that caused a teacher trouble as a child?

Approach this as an adult teacher of science. Enough said.

A bit of a pointless response no? That's like responding to someone who asks the best way to teach addition with 'As a teacher would teach addition'. Well yeah obviously, but if the OP knew how already they wouldn't be asking for help.

We all have things we struggle to teach, for varied reasons, and I can certainly see how approaching this topic could be difficult, depending on your class. If it were my first time teaching it I would also do the professional thing of looking for help.

Personally, the above method of 'you've 30 seconds to laugh tends to work well. Gives them a chance to get the childish giddiness out. Also, I have tended to ease into the subject, introducing terminology you will be dealing with, which they may find amusing(although this was with native english speakers) and letting them get over that before actually dealing with the subject matter.

It will all depend on the particular group of students.

    Best of Luck.

  4. Just think if somehow England and the U.S do both go on to the higher levels. They will have to meet again, won't they? Now that would be a match.

If both qualified from the group they couldn't meet each other again until the final, the chance of which happening is practically non-existent.

  5. I'm micls and I'm a Cork City fan from Cork Ireland www.corkcityfc.net.

Will be moving the Thailand shortly and will hopefully watch whoever my local team is.

As well as being a fan I am also a proud owner of the club. After being decimated by a lunatic last season our club has been rebuilt by the supporters trust F.O.R.A.S who now own and run the club and we actually get a say in the club we love. We currently play in the first division in Ireland because of last years liquidation but hopefully wont be down here for long. In recent years we've beaten a few European teams and some of ye might have heard of us because we sold ye our players, the most famous being Kevin Doyle and for the Sunderland fans Dave Meyler.

It will certainly be difficult not seeing City every week when we move but internet updates will have to do :)

  6. England played well, so did the USA. It was a good match. Both teams have a good chance.

    Seriously?

England were incredibly poor, gave away sloppy possession time after time, created very little and looked shaky in defense when faced with any pace.

USA were solid enough most of the game bar the odd mistake or two but were disappointing in attack.

Disappointing game overall, South Korea vs Greece was a far better game.

  7. Due to Arrive at 7:15 means if the the flight leaves on time and arrives on time, then you have to disembark and get your luggage, I would plan on an hour for that means 8:15, then you have to clear immigration another 30 minutes if you are lucky say 8:45 you should check in at least one hour in advance for a domestic flight at 9:20. You are pushing things this is Thailand.

Thanks. That was what I was thinking too, just wanted some confirmation from someone with experience. Will probably stay the night and fly out the next morning.

  8. Hi,

Im flying into Bangkok on July 15th.

We're flying from Heathrow, via New Delhi. The flight is due to arrive in Bangkok at 7.15.I'm hoping to get a flight that night to Phuket, to meet friends. Air Asia have a flight leaving Bangkok airport at 9.20.

Is this doable? To collect luggage, get to the terminal, check luggage for the next flight and make it through security etc for boarding?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

  9. In the field of education, the "old school" camp believes in giving large amounts of homework. The new train of thought, supported by research, believes that homework is not necessarily helpful for a student, especially at a young age. In some cases it has been found to be detrimental. Educational philosophy is constantly changing, the type of education we grew up with isn't going to be the same as the education children get now. Just because it is different than what you are used to doesn't mean it's wrong. Most schools, including the one I work at, have some sort of homework policy that dictates whether homework should be given, and if so, then how much. So it is quite likely that it is not the teacher's decision. It might be helpful to find out if your child's school has a homework policy.

Agreed. I'm a teacher here in Ireland, and have had incidents of parents complaining I dont give enough homework or on days I didnt give any homework.

There is no benefit to giving homework for the sake of it. I only give homework when I feel the children need to revise something specific, or I want them to learn specific spellings or something.

I do see the benefit of sometimes giving some homework, but the hour a night doing stuff you already know and understand to keep you busy.

Also as mentioned most schools have a homework policy, here anyway, it's not the teacher's own choice a lot of the time.

  10. Hi,

Myself and my partner are planning on moving to Thailand to teach during the summer. We would be looking to find jobs by the start of September at the latest. A couple of questions:

    1) How much of an advantage is it to do the tefl course in Thailand rather than here(Ireland). I ask because the course is much cheaper here, in fact it's only half the price.

    2) Is a 100hour online course much use? Or would it be of much greater benefit to do a 120hour combined course?

I really appreciate any help, thanks.
