  1. Hi all.

I wander  if any of u have experienced a situation with a child  dual  nationality exiting Thailand with an expired passport.

It is a further process to legalise a parental authority  from a Thailand enbassy and new passports these are mailed by post because of covid.

Therefore there won't be enough time.

My daughter has a new French passport just issued ahd a valid Thailand id.

Going to France to stay and study.

Was in Thailand singe Aug 14 until early July..

So can she exit?  Travelling to country if citizenship!

  2. How sad. RIP to the Austrian.

I know many people of different nationalities who have divorced their Thai wives. In every instance it was because large sums of money were spent, overtime, without the husband understanding where it went. Their wives could not explain it adequately and usually the discussion ended in a row with the wives screeching "you farang, no understand" etc etc. These wives were not all ex bar girls. Some were well educated and had businesses or professional careers before marriage.

Money seems to lead to huge issues here and these Thai wives all reacted very quickly and badly when challenged. It seems from the OP that this lady was prone to use violence.

True, my wife is a psycho hysteric and i have been facing serious threats over few years now.

Foreigner should not marry thai women ever.

  3. I have known and worked for a short periods with Philipinos, and it was a few years back.

Be aware that in some case, many schools are more interested to have them than Foreigners. Because culture and personality easier to handle by thai schools teachers and management.

UK accents are sometimes very hard to catch, and maybe their attitude and approach are most compatible towards the thais.

I have lived in the Philippines, and know filippinos is other places. Wherever they go they stick together. They are nice at first approach but very nationalist. And in the end will always remain together!

Thailand is a country rated as very poor in term of english skills ability.

    Please see the following :

    http://www.ef.co.th/__/~/media/efcom/epi/2012/full_reports/ef-epi-2012-report-master-lr-2

    from : http://www.ef.co.th/epi/

Thailand is still continuing to fall. Despite the country tops other destinations with highest visitors entries... What an aberration!!!

So after all, considering that Thailand even in the very last proficiency in the world, it is clear that other asians like the philippino could work it out. Maybe preferred by Thai Teachers. Let's put all Philippino and get the thai teacher deported to Malaysia / Singapore to improve their english for a good decade!

Ony 3% of English teacher ( thai ) have fluent proficiency....

  4. Agree Savanakett is a breeze, last time there got a double entry tourist visa, it was so easy that 2 phillopino girls behind me altered there's to a double entry as they was scared of being knocked back for a single entry.

Well it seems much easier than in Penang these days.

At the embassy and the agencies which offer visa service in Georgetown are screening passports with max 2 single per year. Maybe it will change as KL seems more flexible....

  5. I lived and worked on this island twice...

All i can say is that the infrastructure is inappropriate... Even for many other aspect Samui and Panghan need to upgrade such as roads, and the island being monopolized by the most expensive air routes in Thailand by Bangkok air.

This proove one more time, but it is not their first major failure.

Thanks for the works that was done, and some top foreign eng were on the job, in order to avoid more delay...

  6. I am trying to use a net sim with a phone to use with a laptop.

Some people recommended me to use an air card that it will speed up, as it is a modem through a USB making the connection.

But the speed is really slow, even in the cities as I am in Hat Yai.

I sometimes live in several places, and some parts have no signal at all when using the modem.

If anyone could recommend, and mention some experience, I will very much appreciate your feedback.

  7. Also to consider, Srikarinm hospital in Bangna, after Central City, and then on the way to Samut Prakarn.

Very good standard and used to be affordable, with an excellent pharmacy product.

Both generalist and specialized doctors are very good even compared to western standards.

    Website is easy to find.

  8. So what is the rank of Singapore ?

Have they gone dull, the pavement needs major improvement in many area.

Some key city center like near Emporium and Siam, Sathorn, and near by there are fine.

Other places well let's see. Some pictures of Bangkok streets speaks for themselves... But yes, you can believe you're in NYC or london or Paris.

Top fashion stores and mall dedicated for the elite and high local so cast which is in fact in a kind of middle age, makes you believe it is fantastic.

    And in fact yes.

For for the outlook for Bangkok, KL for example is far better with nice park.

I wonder what KL ranked.... ?

  9. Dear Justice,

Please also be aware that some consulate will look at how many tourist visas are already in your passport, as may not issue sometimes. Especially when there are 2 or 3 consecutive visas in a row. I know back to some time ago in Vientiane it was an issue.

The immigration nowadays prefers to have non O stayers to insure they have funds.

Your flight schedule will not give you enough time to arrive and proceed unless you have no check in luggage and can go straight to the Thai consulate upon landing in Vientiane.

    Cheers,

  10. Thanks for mentionning.

Wages of foreign teacher seemed to have been steady since years.

Increased cost of life will not help.

I guess some teachers employed few years back are no longuer in thailand this year.

Good luck Thailand, but back in the days with lots of English native teacher, the level wasn't that good anywayy.

Spot on. I have friends who teach and the salaries are awful and one hasn't had a raise since he started, 7 years ago.

  11. I am newly subscribed to true visions and located in a new place in the city at a condo near rama3. However, system freezed for few hours with no channel receptions at all....

However, back for 2007-2008 I used it for a year in another part of the city near Onut and all i can remembered was some short disruptions during storms, etc...

Is that common nowadays? Thanks to give feedback!

  12. Yes, while using Ubuntu Yahoo is not the best choice!

Gmail is actually one of the mail option from Ubuntu software.

I have laptop with XP where i can use all mail. If using the Linux better use Gmail, as even hotmail is not even working properly....
