  1. Ive searched bangkok inside and out for a used game store that carries Playstation 3 titles.

The game I'm looking for inparticular is "Skate 3" .. unfortunately every NEW game store only carries the top 10 new titles (exageration, but not far off)..

Anyone know of a shop that sells semi-older games used, or new.

Or if anyone actually owns "Skate 3" and wants to sell it, please let me know.

    Thanks!

  2. Ahhh.. I have to give this place a second chance..

Unfortunately the first time I went, the burger I ordered wasn't just juicy, it was sopping wet UGH.... so much that the bottom bun was completely drenched and I was left with one option to fork and knifed my way through it. Wasn't satisfying at the time.. this was when it was nearly 2 weeks open..

So that being said.. I will try it again now that its been what almost 6 months now, no?

Also, I tried to sub the fries for a small salad (would have payed extra).. they declined and told me I had to order a whole salad.. so I did.. Caesar salad was FN' HUGE.. couldn't finish it.. and left the fries untouched.

I might go for a late lunch, rather than evening and see how it turns out.

    Fingers Crossed.

  3. Hey, quick question!

My stamp is good until the 15th of October, my actual flight leaves on the 16th of October.. 1 day overstay.

I am aware there is a 500baht fine. But where do I pay this, at the same place where I fill in and drop off my disembarkation card?

    thanks!

Yes,they will take it from there and send you to an office. But for one day overstay at the airport no fine is collected. They will mark your passport that you had an overstay.

Don't know how this new policy will effect people returning to Thailand who had an overstay. So far it had no consequences.

Thats no good, I hate this kind of stuff, is there somewhere I can go and get approval for an 1 day overstay in order to avoid this circumstance. I visit thailand twice a year, and I dont want any overstay remorse!

  4. This topic has probably been done, but I couldn't find it. If it hasn't been done, lets compile a list.

Please list the quirky / odd differences with thai products that make you laugh, or shake your head.

I have three simple ones to start.

    1. (plastic) Bottled beverages, fruit juices, water, etc.. - they are filled ridiculously close to the top of the bottle. So much that you cannot shake/mix the contents.

    2. Potato Chips, Corn Chips etc... - the bags are welded shut, I can not believe how strong they seal these. In Canada / USA, they make it easy to open the bag any way possible.. I guess thats why they are fat.

    3. Cigarette pack health descriptions - are likely candidates for a new breed of garbage pail kids (if you dont know what it is, google image search it)

I would like to hear some of your personal favorites.

  5. I can't see the issue - you get 30 day stamp at the airport each time you come in as long as you fly in. No point heading to the consulate and getting 60-90 days when you don't need it and a single reentry is 1,000 but a multiple is 3,900 Baht (use form TM8 available from the internet to save time) so a waste of money really when all you need is a stamp on arrival which is free! Cambo is USD25 at the airport on arrival and so on. If you road trip Cambo then you will not get a 30 days at the border as I understand this has been reduced to 15 days but someone can advise us on that one. I only even fly in and out on business. As you say - you don't want to be d*icking around! Have fun!

i couldn't agree more. I was reading this thread and wanted to post the same answer. 30 Day visa is free (depending on the country of current legal residence) .

visit.. travel abroad. .. visit again.

Unless you are planning on staying more than 30 days within Thailand, why do you want to make it so complicated?

I would like to say this topic is useless, but it may actually help others who have the same questions.

  6. Rompo Mansion is alright... 750B / night.

Air Conditioning, Swimming Pool, King Size Beds!, Muay Thai Gym, Standard Gym, Pool / Snooker Hall, close to Carfour and Tesco Lotus.

Location is near Rama IV / Suk 22

A short motorbike or taxi trip will cost you no more than 60 baht to sukhumvit. dam_n, you can even take a 10-15 minute walk up soi 22 until Sukhumvit if you can stand the heat.
