  1. i think the OP is asking about this week's champions league games.

there are some bars which stay open to show the matches if they have enough people in to justify the extra costs they need to stay open until that hour. i've watched champions league matches in a couple of the bars on soi 2 moon muang before now. plus there's always the 24 hour thai restaurant on the north side of the moat whose name always escapes me.

Johk Somphet? There's also another smaller one just down the road from it. I didn't notice a TV in there last time, but I was also not in my right mind :)

Thanks for the tip on Moon Muang Soi 2. I'll check it out.

Also, I heard from a Thai friend that UBC shows the champions league games. However, I can't seem to find a schedule, nor find out what UBC actually *is*... Google says it's True, and some older links say it's satellite.

  2. If your in town go to the Red Lion and theres usually someone with a space in a car. If not then the guys from the bar will order you a tuk-tuk. Not sure about getting back with tuk-tuks, but like I say get to the red lion and you'll get sorted ok. Ive usually got room in the truck, if not theres always the back of the truck if you don't mind sitting in there. I'll be going back into town after the game also.

One of the conditions of getting a lift Dietrich is that you have sit in the back of the truck waving The Cross of St.David at the same time as cuddling Mr Millers 38 kg pit bull :D .

My wife saw this, and now we're taking a cab.

    ;)

  3. i've never been out there. what's the best way to get there and back if you don't have a car? tuk tuk?

what about after the game, mad rush for the trucks and tuk tuks?

    thanks!

  4. An hard fought 2-1 win for chiang mai against Nakornsawan keeps the play offs looking very good. A disallowed last minute equaliser for Nakornsawan caused a few scenes at the end with the Ref being escourted off the field by the MP's and then getting pelted by water and water bottles from the away fans. Its getting more interesting every week this Thai league :fight:

    AARGHhhh!

We just moved to CM a few days ago and I wanted to see this game... and OVERSLEPT.

Gonna make the next one for sure.
