Fantastic. Exactly what I was looking for but couldn't find.

I was hoping to do a visa run and I need to be in Mudkahan early. I can get the train to Ubon which arrives at 3.35a.m. Is there any transport that will get me to to Mukdahan from Ubon by 8 or 9 a.m? Is a taxi my only option. What time to buses begin to run?

Very much appreciated all.

Normally thay are allowing reasonably late extensions of stay with payment for the overstay days.
So it's my third of three entreis and I'm one day late in extending it. Should I high tail it to Chang watthana right now then?
-
I should have got my 30 extension by yesterday in Bangkok but I failed to do so. Anyone ever get away with one day over extension. Are my options are only to leave the country and pay overstay or get 7 days in Bangkok for 2k (+overstay) now?

Hi.
My dad is coming to visit me in January. He has been a farmer for fifty years and would love to see some sort of farming up close in Thailand. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Ideally the farm would be within driving distance of Bangkok. Any other trade shows, farm museums, agricultural places of interest I should research? I know that Kasetsart holds an agri show at the end of January so he may still be here for that.

I think I'd rather go to Ukraine. I have a Russian friend but no Ukrainians. Any Greek restaurants putting on a Euro party?
-
Anyone know where one can find some Czechs or Greeks watching the football tonight?
-
I watched it in Mulligans on Soi 11, they are open 24 hours and for every game.

Hi I'm Irish and I'm planning on watching the games with someone from each country for each game. It would be great to get a big crowd for the Irish game.
I'm blogging all about it here http://bangkokfootballblog.wordpress.com/ and the Facebook page is here https://www.facebook.com/BangkokEuros and can be used to build interest. Please let me know where you might be watching the games with a group on here or through those channels, Thanks.

Really appreciate the speedy info, much relief here. Thanks.

I think you are saying that her 60 day permision to stay ends today.
Yes she can extend by 30 days at Immigration if she goes today.
I thought that you would have had to have done it before that date, i.e the date on the passport is June 7th. I thought that meant the last renewal day was June 6th, No? Will they be okay?
-
My friend has a triple entry Visa the first part of which has expired exactly today the 7th of June. Is there any circumstances that they can get it extended in Bangkok at Chaeng Wattana. Has anybody managed to do that or is the Visa definitely finished.

If there's a country in the Euros called <deleted>, there's lots of that spoken on this footie forum.
Our Spurs contingent should be able to help with the Greek-speakers (if Cypriots count)
Well without getting into politics or <deleted> Greek Cypriots are alright with me. Send them on

Hi, as I'm not going to be able to travel to Poland I'm hoping to watch every match of the Euros with someone from that country. I'm Irish and thus the Ireland game should not be a problem, nor the English, German, or French etc. However I will need help finding a crowd from Ukraine, Portugal and Greece etc to watch it with. If anyone can help me out here that would be great. I'm looking for the biggest possible crowd to watch it with and will go anywhere in Bangkok. Also if you want to just join for a booze or even if you are an American , all are welcome. Facebook group is herehttps://www.facebook.com/BangkokEuros and blog is herehttp://bangkokfootba..../goals-galore/ if you are so inclined.
First game I have in the bag is the opener for Poland with 10+ Poles, some Thai people and me so far and its beside Victory Monument Skytrain.
I would really appreciate if you could spread those pages to a forum where it might get some people as I don't speak Ukrainian, Greek etc but some here might. The Danish game on June 9th is next on my list. I'm sure I've seen Danes here, any help?

Ya the ice one only came to me yesterday lying in bed or something and I felt so stupid I hadn't thought of it before then. Local 7/11 is full to the brim with ice.
So far no flood water yet in the Central Ladprao area. This just as info for the ones living around this area.
This morning one of my colleagues went on his motorbike to check around and the first flood water was around 8km away from Central Ladprao.
Latest estimates what I just now heard on the new (hope we can believe them though) is that the first flood water will come in this area the day after tomorrow.
Speaking of Central Lad Prao, I visited Major Ratchayothin and The Avenue or whatever mall has the Villa.
It's dry there (no surprise), and the cab driver said that the flood water on Phahon Yothin is at Saphan Mai Market. (I wonder if he means Ying Choeren.) Villa had Perrier and some two-for-one packages of sliced ham.
Of more concern is a bulletin from our condo telling us to store water. They report that floodwater has been diverted into the "drinking water canal" and that the tap water is now very impure. (I've heard that the tap water in some areas is almost potable.) They also said that the water might be turned off. We are in between Union Mall and St. John U. on the even numbered sois side of Lad Prao Rd.
I'm living there too. Could you tell me which Condo thought the water might be turned off? How reliable to you think that is?
Viphavadi Suite
I think it's reliable. Has there been a run on water filters? If not, why not? Concern about running water being cut off would be one reason.
Speaking of water, I was in one mini-mart today and the freezer was full of bags of ice. I guess people are so focused on bottled water that they don't even see the bags of ice.
For those thinking about getting the hell out of Dodge, the link to online Thai rail reservations is not working as of 7:30 pm. So much for being able to find out if trains have seats to Hua Hin or Hat Yai or whatever.

Probably a bit awkward to organise but we could have 3 months half price football by using this. Or this might be useful to someone you know.
Anyway see you all in a few weeks. Brian.

If confirmed before 7pm I can definitely make it today. If not, Sunday peeps.

Back in LOS and in.

Sorry can't make it tomorrow because I've friends flying in for the day/night. Will do my best to be there next week. Inspiration from "off the aeroplane Chris" will surely encourage me to get there next week.

Grow Food On My Rooftop?
in Farming in Thailand Forum
Posted
I want to try to grow a few herbs or possibly some vegetables on my rooftop in Bangkok. Will this mean a lot of effort, insects just eating them or attracting pests to my house? If it doesn't work out that way could anyone recommend plants for a large rooftop that will not attract or may even repel mosquitoes. I'm a complete newb so a bump in the right direction here would be great. Finding an extensive gardening list/blog for this climate on google proved hard.
Thanks.
