And how many rules and laws have you managed to change in Thailand so far?
A little hint. Farangs and non voters cannot change the laws of Thailand.
Tell me something I don't know. Like I said before.. I'll put it in question format now. Would you silence your own strong belief because someone told you to, or said it doesn't matter, or because you were not in your home country? I think not. I wont stop talking.

I'll happily choose to disagree with you. Sometimes the laws Can be wrong, sir. And I will disagree with them. That's called the first step to progress.

Sadly I don't enjoy your whining sessions about this issue.
If you want to smoke marijuana, then do so in you own place, and try not to clutter up this thread.
I could care less how you feel about me. Thanks again for highlighting the bit about the fact that weed can be a nuisance like all other things, if done without consideration of others. I'll continue to make valid points while being respectful of other parties, thank you very much, Sir!

Anutin and the BJT had 4 years to bring in the law about cannabis. They probably got the medical cannabis side sorted more or less correctly but managed to screw up the recreational use side completely.
If you have a problem then please contact Anutin and the BJT, though they may be a bit too busy for the next several weeks, and as a farang you will probably be ignored anyway.
Cannabis has been available in Thailand for decades, certainly since the Americans were coming for R&R from Vietnam. I assume that it is still available if you care to find it.
If you feel that the laws of Thailand are unfair then do your best to change them, and good luck with that.
I'll agree with you that regs should have been sorted prior to and during this time.
When it comes to anyone controlling me regarding what I put in to my body... good luck because it won't happen.
And thanks for letting me know weed exists in Thailand, haha.
I, as a farang, can only express what I feel is right. I don't expect to have representation. I'll continue to express my beliefs on the wider stage as well as person to person regardless.

Users seem to forget that smoke of any kind is bad for human and mammal lungs. And something in smoke coats lung tissue. It's common experience for 'ex-smokers' of any substance to experience "tastes" for years after quitting.
We already know all smoke hurts lungs. You can't argue with that. Point taken and filed.

I follow the law rather than decide which laws I want to follow and which I don't. If it is illegal, I don't do it. If it is legal, I will choose whether I want to do it or not.
Right. Some are meant to follow the law, be it corrupt, imbalanced rulings or well thought out ones. Others are meant to make the rules fair and lead responsibly.

From what I have seen here in Phuket there needs to be more control over where they can open a weed shop I dont think I would like one opening next door to me,
This would be a good one for regulation, tbh. Need to limit how many shops can open in areas, based on density etc

You smoke for the taste? Eat a brownie/cookie for that flavor?
I'm willing to bet 95% or more of those who use weed do so with the intent of getting high, not to enjoy 'hints of black currant and licorice'.
Who cares again, please? You've clearly missed the memo. And yes, that is Right... Some weed smokers Like to get high, in a responsible manner. This has been true since the dawn of man. Do you drink beer for only the taste? Ridiculous observation, sir.

I can't wait for ganjato be illegal again .
Reason?
Enough insanity out on the roads with bad/unqualified drivers who sometimes happen to be drunk ..who sometimes happen to be high on ganja also ????
Most ppl are stupid f...ks
They should need special permit to operate a spoon let alone smoke ganja to their heart's content.
Show me comparative data between alcohol and weed related driving accidents. Oh wait.. here's some scientific data for you. https://slate.com/technology/2011/11/does-marijuana-make-you-a-more-dangerous-driver-than-alcohol.html

Ever heard of the word hypocrite? Are you one of those that wants to follow every law and rule no matter if it's an unfair law? Fair and equal justice: guess you've never heard of that? So you want to support fining, imprisoning people for smoking a plant but no problem regarding all the vehicular manslaughter caused Directly due to drinking. This doesn't happen with weed. When are people going to to understand that's it's an imbalance of justice instead of just sheepishly allowing or supporting unfair laws? . Regulate it properly and its fixed. Govt should regulate liquor more than weed. Duh. But go ahead with this silly game of toying with people's lives, and kowtowing to the alcohol industry desires, their corrupt behavior acting in cahoots with corrupt law enforcement and government officials. Red shirts buying votes too... shame on them. You're wrong for siding with it. Will of the people my ___.

If I was anutin I would leave the country quickly. I am sure that there are going to be aot of angry people looking for him.
Anutin is not the one to blame. He tried to do the right thing. Praise Anutin. Anti-Anutin types can go crawl back in to their cave where they belong.

I think they have moronic, out-dated, ill-conceived opinions. Only evil idiots imprison folks for smoking weed. I hope they go to prison themselves for consuming alcohol or putting sugar in their coffee.

Must be it. His connections are losing their profit from its now legal status. He can Cry More. The wave will not be stopped by another corrupt individual. Regardless of the law. NO HUMAN can tell me not to smoke weed. If you have a problem with it, eat a fat pickle. And stop being such a square.

People that make mean age related comments about appearances and such are often not too bright. That shows an emotional maturity level of an adolescent.

Gloating about other members immigration circumstances (if that is the right phrase?) and gleefully predicting their expulsion from the country is one of the least attractive aspects of this forum. One or two posts of late suggest that it could be taken to knew mendacious levels!
Some very nasty pieces of work floating to the surface!
And the others that are always on here blowing hard about how they have soo much money... and they buy and do soo many hi so like activities. It's the "silver spoon up their nose" types. And then some emotionally immature person will swoop in and quote me later saying "oh, well Youuu must not have much money..."
Oh what kind of car do You drive? Definitely have a choice finger for those types.
But Herfiehandbag is right. You guys are like the Germans who reported people to the Nazis. Not As bad, but it is the same fascist, snitch-like mentality that stains the world.

About 75% of the comments on here are 1. Petty and/or 2. Immature and/or 3. Borderline trash and/or 4. Borderline / completely homophobic.
I bet living with such fragile egos is more difficult than the Belgian man's life.

This is a medical and regulatory issue only... it never should be criminal to smoke a natural plant, or sell it for that matter. As if some increase in requirements for the health department / medical side to step up to the plate being needed is some huge epiphany. Treat it as the issue in society it is. Crying and name-calling (hippie dregs, burnouts, wastoids and so forth) does 0 to help anything and only serves to make the lambaster appear quite ignorant. Some of the brightest people I've known incidentally smoke the greenie green. The issue either gets decent feedback and support or it flails about like a headless chicken and fails to be properly managed. Government should Invest more in support services/social welfare etc or continue to be less than adequate. Focus on moderation and respect for the plant, teach risks in schools, colleges etc. Manage it like a true leader, show other SEA etc nations it can be handled appropriately, and then feel better about it in the end and still create jobs and improve the economy around that attitude, which should be people first, profits after that.

I own an Nvidia Shield and am happy with its performance and features so far. It has tons of features and it blows Firestick 4k and the underpowered Xiaomi S out of the water.
Also have the IPTV apps ready to rock. Have Kodi ready to rock as well. Tried some of the video addons for it, and performance was on and off, if you know what I mean. As you might expect for free ...
Anyway, I'm looking for ways to view AFL now aka Footy, aka AU league football and could throw down some cheddar for it. .I know of Fox Footy, Kayo, Telstra and Channel 7, but those guys are rather high.. I mean price-wise of course. Maybe those are the only ways, er.
Please PM if anyone knows of a good solution, etc.

totally agree with the OP
Not much, if any, opinion was really given in the OP's post. With what are you agreeing exactly?
"Some were caught off-guard by the lapse in [regulations] etc" or ?
I'm struggling to find any opinion in the article with which to agree or disagree.
Edit: Ok. Obviously, you must mean the opinion from the doctors. Never mind.

The only thing that would do what some want would be to raze the entire strip via some right of way rule, remove the rats, fix sewage, put the cables underground, and make a genuinely beautiful walkway with some scenic viewpoints. If they do that, pretty sure after that, there'd be no more lady bars etc (?). But how can it be done without displacing businesses? It cant. Unless they made it happen and <deleted> many owners off in the process. Could do it like China does it when they wanna build a highway through private properties. Just force em out. That's a Bit authoritarian though, to say the least.
Thailand’s experiment with weed goes up in smoke

How would I, personally, get a law passed or removed in Thailand? Lol. I wouldn't. I'm a farang. We know this.
How would I Contribute to it getting passed/removed? I'd talk about it. Discussion. I'd interject my beliefs.
Regarding your last sentence ... Would I be setting precedent if I broke a law? I guess that depends on the law and how backwards/wrong it is.
