  1. Thanks very for the help. Am finally getting there.
I'll document what I discovered in case it helps anyone in the future.

    >> Open the ports THDDNS.net.
    >> And forward ports on router.
    >> Test that the ports are open with a tool like: https://www.networkappers.com/tools/open-port-checker

It seems my complication is secure vs non-secure access.
AIS's DNS domains are only accessible securely: https://DNSsitewhatever
Using http://DNSsitewhatever isn't possible. (If you test if the ports are open using http, then are blocked).

My local server was only configured for http access, not https.
So I need to add that functionality.

    Slowly getting there...

  2. Does anyone have experience of port forwarding using AIS Fibre's THDDNS.net service?
I'm trying to setup port forwarding to a home server, so I can receive data from the internet.

    - I've created a THDDNS.net account
    - Opened ports in THDDNS
    - Set up port forwarding in my router

Yet when I run a check to see if the ports are open and accessible from internet, they are not available.

    Perhaps I'm missing something?

  3. Hi,
I have a server at home which I need to be able to access from external connections.
In the past I've used dynamic DNS with a TOT internet connection (dynamic IP) which worked fine.

Now I move house and have switched to 3BB ADSL, and am having no success. Router is their nt3bb-4pwn-134.
Currently it seems I am unable to access my home IP. (I get a 'took too long to respond' error message when I try).

Does anyone have any experience of setting up the 3BB router to achieve this?

  4. Hi, I plan to move to Chumphon soon and want to investigate working environment options.

I can work online, but rather than work from home prefer to find a more social / community feel option.

    - Are there many other ex-pats undertaking office-based / online type work around the Chumphon area?
    - Any co-working spaces?
    - Or shared office space to rent out?
    - Or people interested in renting and sharing an office?

    Thanks.

  5. Would greatly welcome recommendations on the best areas / projects / buildings etc to live in the Chumphon area. Rent initially.
What are the most popular places for foreigners to stay?

Factors I place importance on include:
    - At least some ex-pat community. Social, recreation etc.
    - Not more than say 15-20km or so from city centre, or within the city
    - A nice view would be a big bonus
    - Outdoor space
    - Decent quality accommodation

    Thanks.

  6. I've heard a rumour that a Squash Court has been opened at an upmarket hotel on the outskirts of Chumphon  City Centre?
Does anyone have any knowledge of this? (Hotel name, is it available for non-resident rental or fitness membership, costs, condition etc).

If it is available, is anyone living in the Chumphon area interested in playing regularly?

    Thanks in advance
