Exactly.
And that should not be a big surprise in a country with:
- low education standards
- non-existent sex education
- a culture of denying responsibility
- low prospects for many to get a good life
- rules and regulations outlawing abortion
Yep and is getting worse.

Sperm banks are having shortages everywhere. Why? Too many men have been outed and stuck with child support payments. As fewer men opt for marriage and donors become non-existent, it's only a matter of time before sperm becomes a black market commodity.
I have stocked and stored my sperm and now is up to 40kg. Good investment and lots of works.2 years invested with 450 women.

Just reading the many post here one can learn alot about human nature. The guy is very out of it, why a bible verse on your hand in a buddhist country, doesn't really make a statement in Thailand
Make no mistake...if he praise Buddha it might get some pardon..less years. But this guy is sick, been brainwashed

I am seriously contemplating leaving Thailand—have been resident here for ten years and visited here the 40 years before that. I prefer to live in Southeast Asia—eleven years in the Philippines and four years in Vietnam. However, I am open to other areas; like Latin America.
The entire reason for wanting to leave Thailand is personal. I am simply no longer satisfied here and do not see things getting better in Thailand—and I have the urge to move on while I am still able. At 72, I am domestically, financially and physically sound. I am not returning to some geographic home of my rearing. Home is and always has been where my ass resides.
I did not come to Thailand under the circumstances so commonly seen—in search of utopia, a Thai woman, or some exotic existence. I have neither stayed here because of a relationship with Thai woman nor have I buried myself here with property and businesses I cannot own and will have trouble selling for anything but a loss.
My wife of 38 years is an American of Filipino ancestry and she would go with me, always has. We have lived together all over the world; including the States, the Middle East, Europe, and the PI. So, I believe we will check-out Vietnam again next—my previous existence there was under different circumstances.
You only live once and do what you like and try enjoy the places that you heading. I myself think the same way

As long as you are fluent in the language; and have
such an understanding of the Thai culture, you do
realize you, will always
be considered an outsider and
talked about behind your back.
Yep...talked about behind your back as they like to do that and we always be outsider.

That question really depends on what you consider paradise and as always that what can not be escaped... how much money you have.

I don't think there are to many expats in chiangmai, in 9 years I have met 2 aussies, 3 poms and 1 canadian.
So per the above Chiang Mai "Has everything an expat could want along with limited tourists."Chiangmai is definately the best part of Thailand except for the smoke and Haze 6 months of the year. Has everything an expat could want along with limited tourists. Entirely different to the sleazy places like Bangkok and Pattaya But as more farangs become aware of it they will destroy the beautiful place.
How about wanting limited expats?
yeah 2 Aussies and they lost somewhere...most like they they miss the Kanguroo land and aussie barbie. Poms you can find them anywhere and hide behind hmmm

To me I think your all putting the blame on the girl, what about the sad old creeps that pay for it. If there are men willing to pay for sex there will be women willing to sell it. Think about it, how many guys here have paid bar fine? And paid a girl, I bet no one would admit to it, but there must be thousands of guys putting their hand in their pocket and paying girls for sex or cyber sex. How many here have watched porn? I have that's for sure, but the girls get paid (more than the men actually) . if men didn't pay for sex women would be selling it. Now reverse it if women would pay you for sex and you could make a very good living being wined and dined then have sex and make a lot of money, would you be tempted? Many wouldn't I would lay money there would be millions that would.not the girls that are in the wrong its the men that pay for it.
I have 3 girls line up this week..all uni students ..so i can share but will cost you 10% more..hehehe ..You right Drakoanders /by the way how u chose this name..i think u have many girls and u hiding them from others old dudes

The girls knows what they doing..there is not such thing about today and anywhere in the world...think they are innocents chicks is poor mentality and square thinking

To me the article looks as a disguised way to actually promote prostitution
Has been happening and it won't stop now and never ..that the way it's ...it happen any country. Why Thailand is different?? Girls they can do whatever and is their choices like you have and me have in life
-
Anyone have any links to one of these sites? I'd like to meet some of these young ladies and try to explain how dangerous this line of work can be..

The driver of the white car should go back to Nanny land. What a tosser...
Shame the locals didn't stick him.
Sometimes you just have to stand up for yourself. People, both farang and Thai will walk all over you if you let them!
Well stand up for yourself in Thailand ..you joke. Thais have different mentality for behave and you days can be counted if you argument with a Thai and they will bring many supporters. There is a limit and common sense you can stand up and not take it home

Seems to be a single lane road and one of them, either the taxi or the car, could have reversed a little bit to let the other car pass through. Looks like both had big ego problems. The foreigner was foolish as it could have easily led to violence.
The foreigner was foolish as it could have easily led to violence...he stupid this foreigner ..he could get out there and avoid get killed..i must say you in foreign land and the risk is greater then back home. Thais can come up with knives or guns and that is it...you dead for what ???
Can I move to Australia?
in Visas and migration to other countries

I would not go to Australia for Thai Restaurant ...we have so many ..i mean alot but against all odds you restaurant can be noticed and the business will flow. Main cities is Sydney,Melbourne and Queensland...Perth is small. Don't forget Australia has 24 Million people and the market is not that big. If you eventually decide have to go to top location and face high rent but is always possible open a business and do well. Food must be good and tasty and service.
