Hello All,
Last year I went to Savanakhet, Laos to renew my Multiple Entry Non O visa based on marriage.
Last year I took:
Passport and passport copy
2 X photographs
original and copy of marriage certificate (both sides)
Copy of wife ID card and passport (signed)
5000 THB for Multi Entry Visa
Has anything changed? Any information would be a great help.

Sounds good. Thanks baneko

Hi All,
I will be travelling to Savanakhet next month to renew my 1 year multi entry Non Imm O visa Based on Marriage.
Are there any changes from last year? I have checked various forums and found that some people where taking along Kor Ror 2 along as well as a Tabien Baan?
Last year I did not need these. If anybody could confirm exact requirements I would really appreciate it

Hi All,
It appears that UbonJoe is the wise Sage on all things Visa.
Is it possible to get the one year multiple non o visa based on marriage from Savannakhet even though you are not a resident in Laos? I noticed on the Consulate website that it mentioned it was only open to laos residents.

Thanks a lot for your input Gents. I think that I will go with the HI9813-5 from Thailand. I looked at EBay and Amazon to check on pricing. EBay was very similar in pricing and Amazon would not ship the unit to Thailand. You may pay more in Thailand but at least you have somewhere to take it back to if it fails.
Hi all, oldmajor, just to give you a heads up, I have had two Hanna Hi98129 Ph. EC combination meters, the first one had problems with the Ph. probe after 8 months and it was replaced under warranty, but the ph. measurements were so unreliable and inconsistent that I did not bother using the Ph. side of it and after 18 months I changed the batteries and when I turned it upside down to get them out it leaked water in to the LCD screen so I sent it back again and was told it was stuffed, so stupidly I purchased another Hi98129, after 2 months the ph. side of it was the same as the first one, useless, so I sent it back one month ago and I still have not got it back yet, its Ph. probe will be replaced again under warranty , but I am sure it will be just as unreliable , but in saying that the EC side of the meter is excellent, with this meter you have to have several solutions to look after it, cleaning solution, Two Ph. solutions, an EC calibration solution, and a storage solution, and all are expensive.
Go the Blue lab, is my advice to anyone thinking of purchasing a Meter.
Cheers

Hi Scoop.
Ouch! I hope I have better luck......
I ordered the HI9813-6 from the internet yesterday for THB 8000 + Vat
Hopefully, I can find some generic solutions that will keep the cost down

The HI9813-5 cost me 8645THB (shipping included). It's less than the price advertised on their website.
That's a great price. How did you manage that?

Hello All.
I am interested in getting started in Hydroponics. This is a very interesting read. I am in the market for an EC meter. Is there anything in particular that I should look out for when making a purchase, or will any type be OK?

For several years I have used Jakarta to get a non O multiple entry one year visa based on marriage. All I needed was the completed immigration form with photocopies of my wife's ID card, marriage certificate and my original passport. This year caught me out as they wanted the original marriage certificate and proof finances in the bank for at least 2 months.

Thanks for the advise Gents.
I have settled for some Shimano MT44 shoes. So now all I have to do is wait for the Bike, shoes and pedals to arrive and I'll be in business. . The Pedals and Shoes will arrive before the bike but hopefully all should be in BKK within a couple of weeks now.

Hello All,
I have decided to take up Road Cycling and settled with a Cannondale Synapse Alloy 6, 105.
Although I have been a keen Mountain Biker for many years, I have never had the guts to lock my feet onto the pedals. I have been reading up on the Shimano Click'R and decided that this is the way to go. The Road Cycling will not be competitive, and the bike may well be used to go to 7-11 on occasions. (I bought the alloy version as Racks and Panniers can be fitted in case I fancy some short tours.)
I digress. The pedals I have purchased are the PD- T 420. My question is: Do all SPD shoes fit these pedals or do I need to purchase Click'R shoes to get the full benefit of the pedals? (I will be looking for casual type shoes that I can walk in when I get off the bike) -
I agree with you 100%. I have a Trek bike and felt compelled to go back there for spares although really hated putting money in their pockets. I soon found the shop near Udomsuk BTS ( sorry, I am terrible at remembering the names of these shops) the smaller shop of the 2 sells all the shamans stuff that I need. Now I have been in their a few times, they take time out to help. No more Probike! Thanks Moonoi. The issue I have is that I am 1.91m or 6'3" tall. The Probike team weren't very receptive and tried to sell me something completely different. The shop near the HSBC office said they could get me a Colnago in large size but it would be 5 months waiting. I settled with a Cannondale Synapse 105 alloy disc with a 61 frame. Should be here in a month. Looking forwards to it
The Probike team, specially one called "Jack" gets even less receptive after you paid. So I would avoid them if you can.

I fancied the Giant defy. My wife called world bike and they said that do not carry and do not plan on bringing any large size bikes. That was a shame as I would have liked to try one out

Hello all,
Does anybody know if the Trek Crossrip Ltd is available in Thailand ( Bangkok preferably)?
If not, can you recommend a similar bike that is available?
Thanks a lot

Does anybody know where the regular morning cycling crowd that use Benjakiti park are riding now? I see that the park will be closed until the 20th now.

Then I suppose the next question must be....
Is it legit to use these with the tailgate down? How do the BIB deal with this? Any issues or good to go?
-
Perfect. Thanks BKK J. I will check with them if they have an outlet or can deliver to BKK

I just suffered from premature posting. I live in BKK.

Do you mean the coloured lines that show you when you are getting into the danger zone? I don't think so.

Dmax is the best truck out there.
I'm with you on that. I've had my VCross just over a year, 25K on it used in the dirt and on the roads and it handles everything that I have thrown at it so far. Pretty Bullet Proof IMHO. Just bought the wife the MUX. She loves that but still seems to take my truck out more often than not. Maybe trying to keep the value on hers...........

I see the list price for the Auto top of the range V Cross is THB 997,000 what extras should I expect for free - all the usuals - liner, mat, window visors, film, etc? Also insurance do most dealers offer free insurance now - I thought it was common practice for the first year.
Guess you can't get round the approx THB 8,500 road tax charge - is this a one off or annual fee does anyone know?
I did read on one thread that Isuzu have a 5% margin for offering discounts - is this true? And also a few threads state that it's cheaper to buy in BKK, but wouldn't that cause issues for delivery or servicing? Do you need to service at the dealer you buy from?
Thats an annual fee
