1. Personally, I would dump her no matter what. I would also give the Tom a good rogering for playing with those tits you paid for. Who knows, you might get the Tom aroused and will start manhandling your nuts making the wife jealous for a change.

  2. Spidermike -

This story need to be shown overseas, and Thailand need a serious black eye over this. I do not care what the circumstances are, this is completely unjustifiable. The only way changed happen here, is if Thailand loses face worldwide. The tourism industry is dying on the vine, and the TOT continues to spin out the false figures. An informed source told me that the island wide occupancy rate in Koh Samui in June was 20%! That is the lowest rate in the past 20 years. Something is happening, in a big way, and every Thai I talk to has their head in the sand, in regard to the issues. Where is the Anna Hazare of Thailand? Do the Thai people care, at all? Does the government care, or even acknowledge these issues, in the slightest manner? Who is going to be held accountable for this latest travesty?

    I agree with you completely.

I too hate the Thai ex-pat big-mouths who come out with all the crap and conjecture and always seem to support the Thais version pouring scorn on anyone's downfall as if they were really living in Paradise. Its just a very dangerous place to live in and can't be acknowledged as anything else. I left AMAZING/MIRACLE Thailand for far nicer places in Asia, that are not a threat to my life or wallet and retain a certain degree of normality not fraught with danger encounters. Although must admit, the whores are not in abundance however realised there's more to life than these flights of fancy and cheap bad food engulfed with spices.

Mark my words, tourism will fall dramatically in Thailand soon now the world is aware of the all the facts and places like Vietnam etc are now vying for position. Who wants to go on holiday and come back with one family member amiss now been interred in an urn and taken back to be spread over their own countries homelands. All the parasites seem to take the Thai version 'period' and at some stage their own family might be facing these involuntary dilemmas. Lets face it. it ain't AMAZING or even a MIRACLE if you can go on holiday or work abroad and come back safe and sound - so why is it so different in THAILAND ?

Anyway, had my say and maybe somebody will recognize the message I'm trying to get across without being a hypocrite.

    Cheers.

  4. Honestly, this is bordering on the ridiculous!

I have applied for my work permit since the 21st of March '11 and until now, I have still not received it! I have no idea why and the labour office are not giving out any reasons. Funnily enough, when I asked them if I don't get my work permit before my visa runs out in a few days, i was told that my visa is not their problem. I suspect they will ask me for all this new information, cause delays and then I'll have to start the whole process again. More money in the Thai systems pockets.

I have to ask, how many of us expats have copies or access to our education certificates? I know I didn't carry them with me to LOS! I don't have a degree and my previous employer here in Thailand has closed his business and moved away some years ago, so where does that leave me?

It feels like another "tea money tax" coming in for all of us expats that don't fit the criteria. As some of the replies state, it seems that Thailand is constantly making it more difficult for us to live here, work here even after police visiting me for "monetary gifts" or free products. I am sure we will be able to pay if we don't have the qualifications but I have to ask, I am 40+ year old and cant think what my educational qualifications have to do with setting up a business here.. ...anyone?

"Extensions of work permits (WP 5) will now also require a map to the office and a medical certificate. The medical certificate is valid for only 6 months so annual renewal of work permits will now require a new medical certificate including the exam for the usual diseases and the syphilis test."

Really!! what has my health got to do with this and the diseases they check for are a joke too! We all know it is easy to go to a doctor and get a med cert without any testing done. Just another money making scam for us expats to dance to. Is it not enough that we pay through the nose to set up our business's? It's like a we're in a living circus with us jumping through very small hoops of fire whilst doused in petrol!

I can understand why more and more expats leave Thailand but then again, isn't this what "they want" because if it is not, some one is doing a sure fire job to make it feel this way.

Isn't it enough that us business owners that go through all the correct motions, spend money, employ thai staff, travel back and forth for visas, pay tea money, pay our taxes to make business get so much red tape when their attention should be on those that don't have work permits and just seem to be left quietly alone - what gives????

"Drop you wallets off at the airport and go back home ." is the motto of LOS.

This a whole new ball game. So they are implying that anyone who doesn't have a degree Blah Blah Blah will not get a work Permit ? So all these people who invest ZILLIONS into this country will no longer be accepted ? Does this include the mafia ? Looks like more ex-pats might be asking their loved ones to vote for Thaksin's entourage back in, since he has said will make things easier for Farangs ?

  5. Hello,

I think you gave sound advice.

I've been in 2 Thai adverts and definitely no Brad Pitt, or am I any youngster either (55). You just need to keep cool and don't act nervous and just be your natural self (idiot) ha-ha. There are many so-called English Teachers in Thailand. I personally think its a disgrace that these imbeciles are let loose on unsuspecting students - to teach English. Half of these cretins couldn't even spell it.

Anyway, suppose they've got to do something to survive in Asia.

    Tommy.

Im sorry if i sound negative about this, but there is no way you will be able to survive in Thailand if the modelling idea is going to be your ONLY source of income.

There are just to many other people on the books waiting and competing for a limited number of jobs. I suppose if your young, have the look, and are INCREDIBLY sellable you might have a better chance. It does help if you have mixed ascendancy and look a bit Asian and are white, but even then a lot of the jobs are requiring older richer looking people, so being a good looking buffed up hunk is not always a shoe-in you'd expect in the west.

Also If you have the weight trained muscled look it is not always very marketable to Thais...it scares them

Not wanting to get to personal, but do you have any other income stream to sustain you?

Savings will only last so long, especially if you mix it with some of the enchanting local lady-folk ;)

  6. Anyone wants to learn to speak "Thai" by Skype, I'm up for that. Just PM me and let me know your needs and the time you are available to study. I will have you speaking everyday useful Thai conversation in no time. When you are comfortable with that, we can start on the more correct, technical side if needed. I am told that on the phone, people think I am a Thai. I can't be bothered teaching at schools any more, but Skype is a great idea and should be a lot faster way to learn, as it is literally one to one.

I would love to be taught Thai this way (Skype) given that I use this for business purposes and could benefit greatly if I was to utilize my spare time in-between to learn Thai.

Please let me know how you want to proceed with this.

  7. Did as you said.

Thanks, hope that ends that chapter.

Can't understand why it costs anyone to call them to turn off their annoying crap paid at our expense ?

Must admit though, getting used to it. Just moved into a new service apartment 2 weeks ago and had

to pay for a new cold tap in the bathroom that fell apart ? In any normal country that would surely be

included in the rent/services charge, or am I just being an arrogant moaner ?

Need to try and keep my sanity intact losing the plot out here - lol

    Thanks again

contact the call center Ask them to turn it off.

  8. Happy cell rage.

This may sound rather petty although personally find it annoying and frustrating.

My Laos girlfriend and I are bombarded by Happy messages (up to 7 per day sometimes) going over the top, since' these annoying texts are sent at ANYTIME within a 24 hrs period. I don't no whether we've been picked out as special candidates for this onslaught given that before was only subjected to around 1-2 per day. Now I don't have a clue if some space cadet at Dtac control nominates certain numbers to plague at random or by choice.

It does tend to get on one's Tits if in the process of making an sms message at the given time or being wakened during the night about some FANTASTIC promotion. To me I find this an intrusion of privacy and don't really have a clue whether we are ever charged for these invasions.

Is there anyway to stop this completely or is it another part of - Mai bpen rai ?

If so - still does my Headin'' !!!!

    Unhappy Dtac customer.

  9. To me money brings a more happier form of misery ?

Asian corruption helps helps us stay here for longer for instance if your the typical offending expat ?

Why not give everyone a job and pay a weekly 100 baht salary for all and sundry and make it all fair and above board.

The more corrupt the state the less laws adhered to ?

Go figure - its a no brainer ???

Money does not equal happiness. Money gives you more opportunities and opens more doors for you whatever society you are in but that is different from being happy.

    There are two different goals:

    1. Creating a more equitable society

    2. Creating a happier society

There may be some linkage between these two but there are a lot of other factors too.

If people think money is the most important thing they are rarely going to be happy.

  10. I totally agree. How dare some Farang try to extort money from their own citizens when the Thai's have this franchise ?
Its somewhat deplorable. I for one realise this is home ground and should not be encroached upon. Probably now be inundated with smart ass tossers replying to my honest reply ??

He should have given his commission, then he would be free to do his extorting
11. Aussie/UK Thug - Asia's biggest losers ?

I can't believe nor comprehend that this Aussie and the Numpty Jeff Savage, think they can get involved in Thai Politics having the audacity to even think their views will be recognised World wide getting them Fame and fortune.

I'm from the UK and cringed at the video of Savage speaking about Central World and his intentions.

These sort of parasites are loners, pent on getting acknowledgement from observers 'don't realise' they will get discovered but unfortunately/fortunately by the 'Thai authorities that be' and will be well rewarded for their admirable merits once they are incarcerated in Bang Kwang.

Once inside, will have many new admirers giving them their just desserts on a daily basis, passed around by all and sundry as the new girl on the block, for a course of meaty lethal injections, to take their mind off thoughts of fame.

It gives us Farangs a bad name, although people shouldn't assume that these degenerates are in any shape form or fashion, representing our countries.

Glad They got this guy, He should be put in the darwin awards. Someone that stupid should be taken out of the gene pool!

  12. No impact om my life but reckon had major complications on Soi Nana girls who's touche's have sealed up through lack of use but suppose good for new punters given that now they may feel some internal flesh again after the intense negotiations on - short time long time ?

Did the curfew had any major impact on your daily life?

    NO POLITICS IN THIS TOPIC

we are discussing the curfew impact on your life, not the politics behind it!

    Thank you

  13. Guesthouse,

Thank you kindly for your swift informative reply.

Rather than catalogue my misery which would go into several chapters to say the least, my quality of life has been a state of ill-being due to this terrible affliction or misfortune. I have asthma, rhinitis, nasal polyps, sinus problems and no sense of smell.

I've had 3 operations in Thailand and the first one was pretty dangerous, being in the theatre a lot longer than anyone expected and frightened my family senseless.

I was going to fly to Singapore for another operation after reading this certain doctor is an expert but after reading your case, I'm more than interested to give him a try, to see whether he can give me back my life - knowing by your response - you understand what I'm going through - having not slept properly for years.

I would like to thank you again having given me some hope to end this farcical existence and may normalcy come back to my life.

Can you please give me the doctors e-mail address.

    Many Thanks

    Regards

    Tommybkk

  14. Horseradish root

I have had such a terrible time with breathing problems of late with my Asthma combined with nasal polyps and rhinitis.

I've been reading I can get good relief mixing grated Horseradish root & honey

Can anyone be kind enough to tell me where to purchase this (horseradish root) in the Bangkok area please ?

    Thank you

    Sufferer.

  15. Abhisit

I personally think this Thai Prime Minister has went out his depth and should have stepped down save all this bloodshed. One can say he was enforcing stability although it seems it's just created instability antagonising the red-shirts even more. Brings back the old adage - a lunatic is running the asylum and serves the general public with even more despair.

If this carnage continues - where will it all end ?
