I understand one of the main disadvantages of fibreglass pools is that they must be kept full of water otherwise they can lift in the ground. I guess this would depend on method of installation and soil conditions.
No Fibreglass pool will pop out of the ground when emptied if you install it correctly, and you can always put a static valve in for extra safety

When looking to build a pool in the Khon Kaen area 2 years ago,I checked out the available pool companies in KK and found them v expensive,or in the case of JD Pool a blatant rip off..
In the end had my 8.5 X 4.5 pool designed/built by Siam Consulting for 122,000 Bhart including a salt water system with a state of the art chlorinator (not the basic red light/green light thingy's).
Have had excellent back up from them.
They are farang owned/ lead, based in Udon .. They also build houses I learnt after beginning my Thai builder ..err..build (!),which might have helped lower my blood pressure !!
extremely low price!
122,000B i find that very hard to believe

blind leading the blind
It would be interesting to do the same exercise in other countries. I wonder how many would do any better?
Not that many would pass, if today done hand written tests no computers etc, 2% would be lucky to pass.
Took longer to learn in my day but it stuck!
