  1. Hello All,

Would anybody recommend a motorbike rental somewhere near cape panwa.

Preferable a honda PSX , rented this type last year on samui and with the 2 of us it's comfortable enough to do a longer trip.

They renter also should supply helmets for the both of us.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Bangkok airways also asks for the creditcard booked, my creditcard details have been stolen so i had to apply for a new card.

I should have given the old card back to the bank, but i had to explain to the bank i will be needing it end of July to get on a plane.

They let me keep the card if i promised to bring it after the holiday.

The hole show your card at the airport thing is so useless, it's just another way to stress your passengers.

  3. lol, that's a bit strange indeed.

Did you contact the local office in Holland from Thai airways or did you contact Thailand?

I would rather try both of them, i find it hard to get correct answers from Thai customerservice departments.

Final option is, let Eva air label them for Krabi in Amsterdam, fly with Eva to Bangkok then go to the transfer desk at the Bangkok airport.

The transferdesk is still behind customs, you will be needing you boardingpass and checkin proof to be able to go to domestic departure.

At the transferdesk you can tell you story and they will tell you if you have to go to customs to collect your bags or not.

  4. Check with EVA if they will label through.

You might indeed need to go through customs and immigration at Suv, and thus collect your bags and check in at domestic.

    according to evaair.com

make sure you have checked in for thai-air

    groet,

How do I transfer to an onward flight?

    1. Ask EVA airport staff for assistance. We will tell you when the flight is departing and direct you to your gate.
    2. Your checked baggage can usually be tagged and through-checked to your final destination if your onward flight is confirmed. But please keep in mind that some countries require you to declare your baggage during transfer/transit at your first arrival point within its territory, e.g., United States.
  5. Dude,

This is about Chiang Rai, not the Chiang Mai mentioned in the 2006 article. And as you can read in the newer thread link posted previously, apparently some are volunteering without the work permit. This is as valid a thread as any.

    sorry my bad,

correct me if im wrong but it's the same organisation ?

  6. on the power adapter there should be stated something about the volts.

    110 v / 230 v

if the above is mentioned then you're in the clear for just another cable.

  7. also depending on the amount of hand luggage you're carrying.

normally you're allowed to carry about 7 kg in hand luggage but if you don't have much hand luggage they maybe will

not be that tough on you carrying some overweight in you're check baggage.
