I remember coming in a couple of years ago for a 3 week holiday so was expecting a 30 day visa exempt stamp but when i checked later i found they had stamped me for 60 days, so if i had overstayed would i have got away with it ?.Probably not.

2 jobs i had were hard work, the 1st was when i spent 2 years Roof tiling, all hand carried up ladders and secondly i worked piece work in an abbatoir killing 360 lambs an hour or 70 beef an hour, that kept me fit. Only 12 guys in the gang of slaughtermen, all hard as nails.

Hi all, for a very good roast try the Beachview cafe at the beach end of Soi 7 behind the fish restaurant on beach road. Very good meats and a bargain price of 150 bht and big portions as i have never managed to finish a meal off and i eat large.

I have never flown on a A380 but i cant see Thai using it from LHR in the near future as they have 2 slots a day and dont want to lose 1 as they probably could not fill A380 and a A346 in the same day so it is worth using it on a 1 daily flight city such as Frankfurt. Personally i prefer the 747 over A346 just for the extra legroom and seat comfort, i find the A346 seats so hard and cramped.

I think they are only checking that the scratches have been covered up by seawater soluble wax ready for the next unaware user and checking their investment.

Picking up a few points here. In the UK we are not allowed to carry passengers in the back of a pickup as everyone has to wear a seatbelt even rear seat pssengers. Every m/cyclist has to wear a helmet. It appears to me that Thai people dont worry about dying or is that a Bhuddist thing. I have seen many crazy and frightening things on the roads of Thailand, i have driven many times over here and i concentrate all the time , you need eyes in the back of your head some times especially when the schools finish for the day. A safe New Year to you all.

Obviously its only the cheap houses being torn down as the rich can pay for a stay of demolition and why may i ask only 2 houses out of hundreds that are built illegally there. Makes you wonder now.<BR>Andy

Hi all, i heard recently that the bars at the top of Soi 2 have all closed ready to make room for a new hotel. Is this true as it was a local drinking hole of mine as i used to stay at Sabai lodge. I had many friends who worked there and used to listen to the brill band in Toybar. Will miss them if it is true. Any info would be welcome, thanks.

Hi all, i knew this guy when he lived in Somerset back in 1999. he had a computer bizz. that went t$$s up a couple of yrs. later. Then he got chased out of a remote house on the Blackdown Hilsl that he was running as massage parlour with Thai girls working there. Last i heard of him was when a biking friend of mine mentioned his name about a year ago and said he had sold the house in the UK and moved to Thailand about 4 yrs ago. My friend knew him because he was his next door neighbour at the m/parlour. I believe the jail sentence he got in UK was for the Thai girls at the m/parlour. When i knew him in 99 he always had some scheme going to make a quick buck so he was not well liked in the village.

Hi all, just to clear a point, racing tyres are usually filled with Nitrogen as it is not affected by temperature so not altering tyre pressure during a race.
