  1. Has anyone stopped to consider that perhaps the Polish woman started the fight. Sure the ladyboy may have propositioned the husband but I'm thinking he was standing single at the time and not with his wife. He may have even been flirting with the ladyboy. Thinking it's a joke or something along those lines. Then the wife comes along sees a ladyboy grabbing her husband and provokes a situation. It's easy to forget these ladyboys are born men; they look so much like women.

I've never had a Thai girl or ladyboy hit on me when I'm with a lady in Pattaya. I'll walk past a bar and they'll appear to not even notice me. Walk past the same bar by myself and I'm considered fair game. I think there is a lot more to this story and the Polish woman is far from innocent. She'd definitely guilty of "talking when she should have been walking."

  2. Years ago when I was a child I received the strap from my principle. Not as severe as this child but I never forgot it and I still harbor resentment towards the man. I've always had a thought in the back of my mind that I would like to confront the a**hole as a grown man and see if he was brave enough to attempt to beat me. Sadly, our paths never crossed and he's probably either dead or too old now for me to do anything to him but I surely would have liked to extract my revenge on him.

I still think of the fact that my parents never did anything about it because it was okay for a teacher to beat a child. What gives a teacher the right to beat a child? What courses do they take in training to prepare them to beat children? If it happened outside the school then he'd be arrested. It is, plain and simple, child abuse.

Throw this guy in jail. That's the only place for an adult that would beat a child.

  3. Marijuana is illegal in Canada (except medical) but not for long. If the Liberals win next election part of their platform is the legalization of pot. If they don't win it's only a matter of time before it is legalized. Nowadays, if you are a recreational user and caught with possession of grass (and most police tend to turn a blind eye) they merely instruct you to dump it down a sewer unless you get lippy with the officer. I've been told by police officers that it isn't worth the paperwork to charge the user.

  4. A similar accident happened here in Canada involving a cow but the ending is not so nice. A vet took his 4 year old son with him to tend to a sick cow. The cow was down in its stall and a crowd was around her while the vet worked on it. It moved its head and hooked the boy with her horn. Purely accidental but the boy died from the injury.

  5. The Russian guy looks like he could "Handle" himself; however, always remember that the Thais are never alone. One call and the Thai guy has 10 friends to back up his side of the disagreement smile.png

About once a year in the LOS one thai man may challenge someone to a solo fight. The rest of the time, it never even occurs to him, that honorable men fight themselves. Getting a gang of five or more, is how men with no honor fight. This is how 12 year old boys, who occupy the bodies of men fight. Zero risk. What can one say about this behavior? Absolute boldfaced cowardice. A complete lack of manhood. Wusses. Punks, twit behavior, devoid of manhood in any of its forms. Tiny, tiny men without pride or honor.

If some ignorant <deleted> who has about 50 to 60 pounds and 4 or 5 inches in height advantage over you gets rude and mouthy what are you going to do to even up the odds?

  6. We in Canada know what it is like to have a government that accepts these illegal refugees. They monitor coming to Canada on some tramp steamer and do nothing to stop them. Once they have landed they're given a place to stay, welfare, and then found a job and that means one less for a Canadian citizen. After a period of time they're given citizenship and then once they are comfy they start old country disputes with other former, now citizen, illegal immigrants.

WTG Thailand. Look after your country and your people first.

  7. Sorry if this question has already been posted. I read the latest news letter from Thaivisa and it said that Pattaya was shut down and under a curfew. I was unaware of this. I didn't think the trouble reached Pattaya.

Is there a curfew in Pattaya? Is Pattaya shut down? If so when do you think it will be back up and thriving?

  8. Secrets sounds like a good place. Anyone else have an opinion on Secrets. Another hotel recommended to me from another site is Bay Breezes. Can anyone give me any feedback, either positive or negative on Bay Breezes Hotel. I'm making up a short list for when it comes time to book. If one hotel is full I have others to check out.

  9. Can anyone give me any feedback on Secrets. From checking out its website it looks like a good spot. How far is it from Walking Street? Any revues on the service, room quality, etc.

  10. There is also the Dream Hotel on Second road to consider.

Sister hotel to the P72, so similar features/facilities and a 2 minute walk from Walking Street, and without the need to take your life in your hands to cross Second Road, either !!!!!!

I have had many a meal in the restuarant, and there is an ATM in the entrance.

The rooms dont look too bad either.

I actually had someone suggest the Dream Hotel on another website and I've checked it out and bookmarked its website. But I had mistakedly thought it was on Walking Street. I must check it out again now that I know it is on 2nd Road and is that handy to Walking Street. Thanks

  11. Thanks for all your replies. I really appreciate them and I'm attempting to follow up each lead by checking the hotels out on the internet. A hotel doesn't have to be right on Walking Street. In fact I'd prefer to be on a side street that is a short distance from Walking Street.

Please keep the suggestions coming. :)
