South America, and it was not as bad as this time around. Maybe a different strain here, not sure. Also I had just received my second shot a few weeks earlier.
First time it was really mild, this time I was pretty sick and achey for a couple of days.
Back in the states I pretty much keep to myself. I have a small home there that keeps me busy. So, I stay off the streets and away from busy airports and people.
Interesting, so you only got covid once you were vaccinated?

I have Covid now, went to the hospital. They gave a covid test. Asked if I was vaccinated and with what and how many. Gave me some pills and Tylenol sent me home in 15 minutes. 500 baht.
This is my second bout with it. Thank god for the great and free vaccines I have gotten in the US.. With out them I would be on Boot Hill now. Or stuck in my home going stark raving mad..
Times are a changing.
When did you get covid the first time and was it US or Thailand?

We're in a Covid surge in Ireland. The main impact is people out of work.
I had my 1st Antigen test ever yesterday and am positive. Sore throat started on Sat, almost gone today. I've been working from home since March 2020, so can carry on working at home.
Are you boosted and which jab thanks

Hopefully this Christmas we can all be in Thailand enjoying several beers and not worrying about any new variants

It took me five or six weeks to get back to full strength. The worst was a few days. But mild symptoms and fatigue lingered for weeks.
Hang in there. You'll be back to normal in a week or two.

Having avoided COVID since the pandemic started, we just had a three week trip to Phuket and whilst there - saw thousands of Arabs, Indians and other tourists - none of which were wearing masks. The result - I now have Covid. Maybe some testing for tourists isn’t such a bad idea !
What are you taking to recover?
