  2. hi guys,

sorry for my late reply been on the road.

in the end i did absolutley nothing to 'repair' the chair.i found out that the cleaning ladies would actually inspect my room , not the owner, so i set up a diversion. I filled a box full of bits and bobs like mama noodles , books , crayons and even a laundry basket and cooler. basically all the stuff i couldnt take with me. they spent all their time inspecting the goodies and took all of 60 seconds to take a look at the room.

I went down to the office and then got hit with a 2,500 baht maintenance charge that the owner pointed out was in the contract (written in thai of course ).

b*stards. they always get you some way or other.

  3. hi guys,

my apartment lease ends tommorrow and living in hope that I will get my deposit back.

The landlord will take a look round tommorrow for any issues and I foolishly mentioned that the varnish on the wooden chair seats has come off in some places. I thought it would be no big deal as it is a quick job with a touch up pencil or maybe a new lick of varnish. To which she replied that if she finds any problems she would 'have' to get new furniture as she wont have the time to refurbish. Which has me a bit worried to say the least.

I have always paid on time , have never caused any problems and as with most people really want all my deposit back. I am also leaving 4 days early but have paid till the beginning of the next month. So she is in the money and has had a month to get someone new in.

If it all turns nasty does anyone have any advice or guidance or Is there anyone I can call in to act as an intermediary.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

  4. If you have not departed the country expect you are overstay to the tune of three months by now as such a visa entry is only 90 days. Perhaps that is adding to the confusion. If that is the case you should have 20,000 baht with you for the fine and a ticket out of the country.

As to a 30 day extension that is not possible. That can only be obtained for stays of less than 90 days (tourist visas).

Just to confirm i have done one visa run already. my next one is due this week so i have not overstayed. really just want to avoid doing a visa run and wondered if i could get some extension in bangkok. looks like i will have to do the cambodia run then :(

  5. Hi guys,

I have a 12 month Non immigration O. I have been in country for 6 months and now have to leave and do a visa run. Does anyone know if its possible to get a 30 day extension in bangkok as I dont have the time to do a visa run and will actually be leaving Thailand in a month anyway.

I have called immigration but got passed to 3 different people who all sounded as confused as each other. I will go down there tommorrow to ask in person but wanted to know if anyone has an answer here.

    cheers,

    R

  7. Thanks Guys. You would always be able to catch a hammers game in BKK last season. Not so much this season due to the poor form. WHU v SUN on this sunday though. Will be around soi 4 - maybe mango if anyone is interested. What are the chances we can keep this form up ! COYI.

Crikey iv'e never seen so many different scammers posters on here, they seem to be coming out of the woodwork 13.gif.

  9. Anyone know if the delayed game will be on at any Bars in Bangkok Wed/Thurs ? I checked around at the usual suspects but nothing. Would be nice to see. Not often you get good news like this ! Awesome result.

BTW . Where are people normally watching the games in Bangkok. I saw West Ham v Tottenham at Gullivers and was the only person watching.

  10. Thai models are generally not doing nud_e and non - nud_e they will charge you anywhere from 500-1500 Baht an hour. 'Famous' Thai Models cost much more: 7000-12.000 Baht an hour and NEVER nud_e

For the Farang girls, most Russian models are regular cat walk models and rarely do nud_e , when they work direct (non agency) and most of them do moonlight : 2000-6000 Baht an hour

The models I worked with and that do nud_e , about 12-15 models on Mayhem in Thailand willing to do nud_e , from soft nud_e to hardcore : prices in general are as follows

soft nudes 3000-7000 baht an hour and very few do TFCD, you have to be very original or have a very interesting project to get it for pics only

hardcore nudes , I found two girls on MM willing to do those and I also photographed them together. 7000-10.000 baht an hour per model with release.

AA Insurance can give you details of very cost effective policies to cover this and your home contents including computers and the like. Average cost for a year is 4 - 6,000 baht depending on the value of your stuff. http://www.aainsure.net

  12. Hi ,

ouch , the magic word here may be Mac ! haha.

I did some background research for the problem and found that you are already asking the relevant questions on LR forums which seem the way to go !

Is this compatability issues with LR and the MAC?

I know you may not want to hear this but maybe Aperture is the way to go :)

  13. Hi,

Maybe try jurgita.com and modelmayhem.com. Good mix of models from pros to newbies.

    Love to see the shots.

    Best of Luck,

    Richard

ModelMayhem is a good bet ..they have some good models on there that I use as well.......Problem is that you will hardly find a Thai girl willing to go nud_e at all

and if they do they will ask for real money ...lol

I worked with some 'Farang' girls living in Bangkok and they will go fully nud_e .....and OK rates..

Check Model Mayhem you will find the right model there ...

    Good luck.

if its not too cheeky a question. what are the rates for model mayhem models nud_e and non nud_e, thai and farang ?

did you use a studio or apartment.

    Cheers,

    Richard

  14. hi.

I have used LR from the beginning with no probs like this.

I am not sure what you have tried so far .Maybe try the following :

    1) Could this be card related ? format the card(s)or if you have a lot of cards , try and identify if its one particular card / sector ?

    2) LR. Maybe uninstall and download a newer version of LR ( trial version ) and try with this. If its not original copy that may be the problem. Your Software may be corrupted ?

    3) What OS do you have ?

    4) Download a new OS Codec for Raw files ?

    Best of luck.

  16. Hi Guys .

Coming back to Thailand in July and would like to know if anyone has insured their camera gear in LOS with a Thai based company and if so do you have contact/ info / websites.

Currently insuring via a UK company and will give them a shout but not sure what the premiums would be what with the sad developments recently. So would obviously like to see what the prices are on the ground.

Appreciate any help and look forward to contributing to the forum .
