  1. You get RAMIPRIL or most other high blood pressure medicines at Fascino, right opposite of Tesco Lotus, Pattaya Nuea (North Pattaya Rd.) I pay less than 200 THB for a one month supply.

  2. people like you piss me off, you come here,, use a fake id and then moan have i paid to much,,

    you didnt pay enough,

what you going to do if you run someone over and kill them, are you going to run for the airport,, because believe me you would end up in the place you should be then,,, jail,

do it right or dont do it, and then there some on here saying just drive round without id, licence, what the <deleted>, you wouldnt do it at home, so why come here and think you can just do as you like, god help the people walking round in pattaya if they ever get hit by one of you lot,

In my honest opinion there is nothing more to say about this topic!!! I myself was controlled today (as many others) at Second Road, asked for Licence and "Pragan" (insurance).

Get it and you are ok, if not f.. o..! And stop moarning...!

  3. I actually was used to buy Benadryl Cough Syrup at Fascino's at North-Pattaya Road.

But as I asked for it a couple of weeks ago I was told the same:

"It is not allowed to sell it anymore because of its antihistaminic content causing drowsiness

    and making people addicted."

To be honest, there are still a lot of doctor's stuff containing antihistamines openly exposed

and ready to buy for everyone.

  4. A german style fastfood "restaurant" with take away food like "Currywurst, Schnitzel, Frikadellen" etc. biggrin.png

A greece style fastfood "restaurant" with take away food like "Gyros Pita, Zaziki, greece salad" etc.clap2.gif

Yes! Good idea! These are two things I really miss in Pattaya!

  5. I do agree that it is unusual that his school is not helping with all of this.

their advice was to do a 7K trip through a specific company. What is the best way to get to the Thai consulate in penang then? Do i need to make an appointment first?

The best way going to Penang (at least one good way) would be to book a flight with Air Aisia. You can check their fairs

    and times on their homepage.

Once arrived there, take a taxi from Penang Airport to Georgetown, to Lebuh Chulia (Chulia Road), wellknown by any

driver (costs ca. es 42 Rmy). Enter one of the Banana-Guesthouse and Travel-Sevice-Branches or any other travel-agency,

there are more than one, easy to recognize.

Leave your Passport and your school's paperwork, sign, pay and wait one day (or two, if you arrive too late).

Pick up your passport the other day and take a taxi or bus to the Airport to catch your flight home.

Depending on your arriving time in Penang, you should calculate one or two nights in Penang, except weekends or

    holydays of course.

  6. If your ED-Visa expires, you just continue your studies in your current school and do your 90day-Reports.

There is no need to optain a new ED-visa. You just extend your visa at counter 5 at Jomtien, showing your

school's paperwork..., and go on studying without any interuption.

If you actually need a new Visa, going to Penang would be an option, too. I went there two years ago and

optained my ED-Visa without any problems.

I wonder why your school doesn't explain the usual way to you.

  7. Went looking to try the Horchata , the staff looked at me like I was from Mars.

Sorry, but I totally agree! I was completely ignored by the staff. The whole stall

looked like to be well prepared for closing time. So I felt quite stupid standing there

and I wasn't encouraged to ask for a free tasting.

  8. Good I reckon because the food there is generally terrible. I cant eat anything much there except Fuji.

The biggest issue for a lot of people will be the price.

I agree with you you completely!

You'll find the new shop right at the front of the food-court, but it's still hidden in

    a white box...

  9. I can hardly believe what you're writing!

As for Jomtien I never ever had to wait for my change.

I hand over the requestet amount and get back the change

    instantly.

Neither had any problems there nor heard about such an

    incident!

  10. You can get them in the Foodland-Pharmacy. A stripe of 10 tablets is 180 THB.

There might be more places around selling them, but this one I know for sure.

At facino's they will sell them only if you can show a doctor's prescription.

  11. It depends how much money you charge on your 123Call-Sim...! But it is

difficult to get top-up-cards more then 100 THB...!

    Get yourself a True Inter-Sim.

It's just 50 THB plus your charged amount. You get it in every 7/11.

It is always one year valid after the last top-up (any amount!). Calls to other networks 1 THB/min.

International calls to many countries (landlines) also one Baht, you

will find it all well discripted in Eglish!

  12. You can switch your passports in the air! When I arrived in Macau they asked me for my departure stamp, and I showed it in my old passport. They took one short look and agreed and stamped my other passport with theit arrival stamp. No questions asked! It was very easy. For immigration officers it's quite common facing people with two passports.

  13. Just got an ED Visa from Penang.

Booked my return flight at Air Asia office at Khao San for 4970 Baht.

Went to Penang on 13th of July and took a taxi to George Town, 42 MYR. Went to Lebuh Chulia to Banana-Guesthouse and Visa service. They have already three offices in that area, so you want miss them. I arrived at 17:30h local time. I hand over my passport, two passport photos and the documents as providet by my school. I paid 2200 Baht for the Visa and 260 Baht for the service. As they told me to bring my passport to the ambassy on Wendsday, I came to pick up it Thursday and everything worked out so far. Coming back on Saturday to BKK (all flights full on Thursday and Friday) I didn't have any problems to get a 90 day stamp at BKK Survanabum Airport.

To Penang International Airport I went by public bus (No. 405, 2,70 MYR, one hour ride). Very cheap, but it takes some time.

Stayed in a hotel at the end of Lebuh Chulia for 49 MYR a night, called KK Budget Hotel. It is No. 26 Lebuh Chulia, [email protected], Tel 604-2623202. It's the Indian part of the street.

Do not change too much money at the airport!!!

  14. Thanks for the answers. So my idea is going over the friendship-bridge in Mae Sot on Monday with my (almost) full passport, in order to get a 15 days permission. That should still be possible. Then I'll go with my two passports to the nearby immigration-office and ask them to transfer just this new permission. Well, they can only say yes or no! If no, I will leave the Kingdom by air and switch my passports in Macau or HK.

  15. Why do you need to switch passports if you're already here with a valid stamp?

If you want to leave to go somewhere before your new passport arrives you can have your stamps transferred from one passport to the other at an Immigration office in Thailand. You will probably need a letter from your Embassy to do this but that may depend on where you are. I'm in Chonburi and definitely need a letter to have stamps transferred between passports.

My valid Stamp expires on Monday. I don't have any letters from Ambassies. But can I go TO THE iMMIGRATION on Monday with my two books? A valid stamp in the one? will they transfer?
