Thais can pick up a visa at the border with Shenzhen, but it will only be for the economic zone, you cannot travel outside of that area. Macau is a visa on arrival.

I am based in the US, but I do I travel around the world quite a bit as I work with the casino gaming industry (which means Thailand is a no-no).
I understand that having me involved in any way is a large negative factor, but we'd like to be honest about it, especially if this relationship grows at any point.
If we remove any mention of myself, would she have any chance at getting in, even with only 125-150k baht in the bank? I mean, a vacation is certainly do-able with that, but I honestly have no idea what they are looking for in terms of money.

I've been scouring around trying to find some more (hopefully success) stories of those who have applied for a B2 visa for their girlfriends. I am currently working with my girlfriend to put together her application and we are thinking that we do not have anything that will prove, at least in the consular officer's eyes, that she will return to Thailand, even though that is the plan.
My girlfriend does not currently own any property or land. She does have a well paying job at one of the large property development companies that she has held for more than two years. She does have a decent amount of money saved (more than 125k thb) from working since graduating from University. She does own a motorbike as well. She will be able to get a letter from her work stating that her job will be guaranteed for her during her vacation. She has lived her entire life in Thailand, and has never been anywhere else except for trips to Laos and Myanmar during university, neither of which required a passport.
I was planning on sponsoring her, since 125k is a decent amount, but it isn't at least in my eyes, enough for a decent holiday, as a plane ticket is usually about 35-60k, rooms are another 20-40k for a two week stay, etc.
So we are a bit lost, well we know for sure she will come back, to us we are just worried that we do not have enough to prove that she will return. We were hoping to see if any one else could share their experiences, or at least give us some insight on what else we could show to prove her ties to Thailand.
Many thanks in advance.

well, not a fan of the blackmailing, but you did kill a dog that could have been dealt with otherwise. I'm not a save the animal brigade, i fear for my life driving down the soi past 1 am when they are all prowling the streets.
but again,as others have said, tell her the dog killed your cats, and you want just compensation, 40000 baht should do the trick.

So here's the quick rundown, I was speaking with my GF this morning who seemed a bit off and had mentioned thoughts of suicide before. We had been arguing the past few days, but this time it seemed she wanted to make amends. Long story short, finishes the conversation abruptly and sounds like what is heavy breathing.. I don't know anyone in patts, so I immediately call the cops there and ask what they can do, tell them the story and what not and ask them to call for an ambulance or anything, abbreviated version, nothing please call the tourist police. I call the tourist police, he says he cant do anything yet call back two hours later, I call back to the main station and tell them I would like someone to go check on her as she may need medical assistance, they claim they do this twice, but say they can do no more and that an ambulance can't be ordered if there's no proof.
I don't believe that they've actually done anything and I'm quite worried for the health of my girl.
Are there any other numbers that I can call? I am currently out of Thailand, so this is quite scary for me.

I had recently brought my GF over for a short visit here in Macau, and as we were leaving BKK they had told her that they would not let her leave since they had said most countries require 6 months to be valid on your passport (she had a Thai passport with about 45 days remaining, we couldn't get a new one in time due to the Songkran holiday). I had spoken to them and told them the law of Macau and that it is 30 days after your intended stay, so they took a few copies of her passport and told her that they would not be able to help her if she got stranded some how and that she may have some issues with returning to Thailand.
There were no issues with her when we arrived in Macau, they had told her that they would only give her 2 weeks to stay rather than the 30 days, which was no problem. We showed them the return ticket and they stamped her passport and we moved on. When she returned to Thailand, she didn't receive any problems from the customs staff as the lady had indicated she might have when we first left. She promptly went to Bangkok and applied for a new passport on Friday and picked it up the following Monday morning.

I actually live and work in Macau, so due to the proximity and my frequent visits to the mainland I have already picked up a two year multiple entry Visa from the embassy in Los Angeles.

Yes, Thai can get the SEZ Visa as well. It's valid for 5 days in Shenzhen only. Make sure to have Chinese currency for the visa ( get it in Hong Kong ). The Visa is single entry only.
Last I have done it was last month. Be safe in Shenzhen.
Thanks, I was a bit worried she was going to have to be like me (as a US citizen) and apply at a place like CTS or back in BKK.

Planning a trip to Hong Kong and would like to take my gf (holder of Thai passport) to Shenzhen. I'm aware that certain nationalities (it appears most, except maybe the Philippines and US) can get the Special Economic Zone (hereafter: SEZ) for Shenzhen or Zhuhai at a border gate such as Luohu / Lowu.
Is this available for Thai citizens as well, or will we have to apply for a visa for her beforehand? I've tried searching, but I can only seem to find sites that confirm it for "multiple nationalities" or for the commonwealth countries, nothing specifically for Thailand. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Note: we're just going to be staying for a day or two, the SEZ visa is normally 5-days, single or multiple entry

right, filing the forms is pretty easy. it is just better to do it manually as well, especially if you go back to the states at any point in time, things like turbotax make it quite difficult sometimes in proving your time outside of the states meets the requirements to not pay anything.
good luck!
