Maurice lives back in Oz, last I heard he was still alive. Sadly the his brother David's wife, a Thai lady, was killed in a car accident in Australia some years ago.

Martin West, brother of David, the original owners of Domino's (later True Blue) died but that was about 13 or 14 yrs ago.

Local. A woman I didn't recognise but she said she recognised me as she used to be a cashier at Pong's bar in bar beer center about 17 years ago. I also asked the owner of Lucky and she said he'd died about 5 years ago.

I heard 3-4 years ago he was back in Australia and not interested in coming back to Thailand so I was very surprised when they told me he'd died in Chiang Mai.

I'd heard about Martin, which was a real shame. I remember David (West) going a bit nuts and then heading up to the village. Didn't keep in contact as I don't go near people involved in drugs (not exactly revealing a secret as he was jailed for possession of maijuana!)

If anyone could confirm, but I was told yesterday that Maurice, from True Blue died a few years ago.

Does anyone know if this is true? The people who told me did know him and were adamant, but he's not mentioned here and no one else has ever mentioned it

The most frustrating bit is you only ever see 1 or 2 of them working, even when busy, the others just seem to loiter around, attending to their zits, and get in the way completely oblivious to the fact that ques are forming with people waiting - one of my pet hates!!

7-11s on conveniently located on every corner with plenty of courteous [and often cute] staff (unlike most convenience stores back home which are staffed with non-native language speaking illegal immigrants and which you would never visit after 9 p.m. for fear of a robbery either being in progress or likely to occur while you are in there). Why do you care how many staff they employ at B5000 per month and gratuitous comments about Thais and their zits are not necessary!
