I imagine that "instigating people to commit act of terrorism " is different to a charge of "terrorism".

Never heard of a Talvarin breed of dog!
Searched on google and wiki but nothing found.
Is this some kind of "exterestial dog"?
In fairness to this raving loonie, reference to Wikipedia would add some credibility (?) to the family dog story:-
The script naturally calls for a great number of wolves to appear. However, due to budgetary constraints and other factors such as cast safety, most of the 'wolves' shown in the film are in fact evidently Belgian Shepherd Dogs, mainly Terveurens and Groenendals, whose fur was specially dyed
Read Terveurens for "Talvarin".
I still believe the soi dog is the one that was most afraid in this encounter.

Nothing wrong with a bit of National pride when your team has reached the finals stage of the World Cup.
I doubt that StevieH was referring to ALL England supporters.
As usual a small minority of people attract a generalised labelling of the masses.

Abhisit should call for an election now, before Thai people forgot about the arson attacks, and how must the Red-protest cause the nation.
I also thought an election now (i.e. before the end of 2010) would enable Abhisit to benefit from his rise in popularity.
However, on reflection, I think he needs to get a number of ducks in a row if he is to oversee open, transparent and free elections(i.e. no vote buying - as far as possible). I doubt this can be achieved in the next 12 months. Thaksin is alienated but if more can be done to distance him from the Thai political scene, all the better.
Rucharee has switched sides (or at least confirmed allegiance to the Democrats) - I just wonder if enough rank and file Thais have been persuaded to put their "X" in the Democrat box as a result of what they saw happen in Bangkok.

Maybe some of the posters need to read the threads on this forum about unreimbursed losses from Thai bank accounts. There are many. There are no laws or govt organizations to protect you.
Not quite sure about your point - are you referring to losses from ATM withdrawals with overseas cards or Thai bank cards ?

When in Rome do as the Italians do.
Get a local bank.
If cost is really THAT much of an issue, try this:-
Go and find 9 friends (it can be more or less, this is not prescriptive) from your home country.
All open accounts with Kasikorn Bank.
Appoint one trusted leader.
Monthly (or whatever period suits you) all transfer your stipend to the bank account of your trusted leader (if UK, use Halifax Bank).
Trusted leader garners the other 9 stipends and (together with his own allowance) transfers the total amount (in the home currency) to his Kasikorn Bank.
He then distributes the individual Baht equivalents (less cost of SWIFT transfer) to the 9 friends, using K Cyber Banking (free of charge to other K Bank accounts).
I can appreciate that some cynics may recognise a potential risk in this methodology.
I volunteer myself as 'trusted leader' if anyone wants to give this a go.

I quite like this one, but I have not seen it in Thailand:-

I did hear if you go into the branch of any bank and use your foreign ATM card to make a cash withdrawal over the counter, then there is no charge. Can anyone confirm this?
Yes I have been doing this for years with my Nationwide Flexi Account debit card, always ask for the amount in baht not your home currency, they give an exchange rate but when it hits my a/c Nationwide uses the offshore rate which is higher than the banks here so it does save you the fees whilst getting a good exchange rate. In addition the Aeon bank atm s do not charge a fee as they are a Japanese Company.
The Flex account card is, presumably, a VISA debit card !?
That being the case, the exchange rate will be set by VISA.
Do VISA charge the standard 1% fee on these manual transactions, and do Nationwide pass them on ?

Thank you. That is interesting - and worrying.
In 5 years I have not had a problem - so far.
