  1. sorry but, there is literally nothing of use or value about this post.. so now you've wasted your time writing it, and now I've wasted my time reading it and replying.. . nothing better to do with your life?
  2. Thanks for this.... I check in here regularly, because I think it's the least I can do for people who go out of the way to respond to a post of mine. So, I was pretty excited to come on here this morning and see how many new contributions there were. I got optimistic. Sadly, it turns out to be some debate about whether or not I want to drag my 70 year old body onto a bus to save 10K baht... But, it's nice to see you get it. Let me gist this: I live in bkk, I'm old af. I am far from wealthy, but my economic circumstances are such that spending 22K baht annually to never have to interact with immigration besides showing up at CW once a year for about 90 minutes to do the bank verification and the initial meeting with immigration, at which I say absolutely nothing, is no hardship at all. When I first came back to Thailand after being in covid exile in the US, I selected an agent VERY POORLY.... which resulted in a ton of anxiety and immigration issues as she'd gotten my visa 60 days late, and in another province. After that experience I found the person/group I work with now, and they have been really quite good. What prompted me to post this was two things: 1. The person I'm dealing with either has employees, or others with whom she collaborates, and they seem to be the ones working with me now.. they have been less responsive and are no longer proactive at all... this isn't a massive issue, but it's a bit of a pain for me to have to chase after them to schedule stuff like my 90 day. 2. As has become the focus of most posts on this thread, I was not burdened by the 22K fee, but I did have questions in my mind about whether that pricing was competitive for what I was receiving. As of now, I've not had a reply which includes information about a preferable alternative to my current situation.
  3. I sent an email inquiry, they replied... I just looked back and all their emails are unsigned.
  4. Sorry, not sure who you are referring to by "The agent you used". if you mean Thai Visa Expert, then I'm even more confused.
  5. I worked in Torrance for a while.. not a bad spot at all.. I played volleyball every Saturday morning at Hermosa in front of Good Stuff for about 25 years. Thanks, I have a lady now.. she's been "pretty good", but a bit less responsive this past year. That's why I'm looking around. I don't find the 22K I'm paying to be either excessive or much of a burden, I was just looking around to see if there were better options. Thanks for your time and response.
  6. fyi, Thai Visa Expert quoted me 29,800 baht for the same service.
  7. No. I have over 800K in a thai bank. I'm just looking for someone to do the paperwork and be my interaction with immigration personnel. The agent I use now also handles my 90 day check ins. all in CW, as I know.
  8. Oh, sorry, I'm in Phra Khanong now, but this is the same agent I used in Sathorn, so I didn't know location was an issue. I NEVER go there, she always comes to me, or meets me at the immigration office. And THANK YOU SO MUCH, for your help with keeping this thread focused... no need at all for advice or opinions.
  9. So, I assumed there would be a thread like this, but I did scroll 3 pages of this forum before posting and found nothing. I'm not very successful using the search feature on this site. Sorry if this is redundant. I'm living here long term on a retirement visa. For various reasons, I've preferred to use an agent to facilitate my interactions with Thai Visa personnel. For the past 3 years, I've used a woman who, for 22K baht, has handled my annual renewal and my 90 day check ins. In this past year, she's become less responsive and sort of sloppy in communication. So, I'm looking for any recommendations for a replacement. Sorry, but this is the only thing I'm looking for. please either reply here, or feel free to dm me. thanks
  10. Very cool, thanks. Sadly, it's out near Chatachuk, and I live up near Phra Khanong. I'm quite old, so getting out is a bit of bother... but if I can't find anything online, I do an excursion. Thanks again.
  11. I'd like to try my hand at making some small boxes and cabinets. for the boxes, think med/large sewing box size, for the cabinets think a deep medicine cabinet above a sink. My point is, I just need a small amount of wood. But, I'd like to work with some nice hardwoods...maybe mahogany or teak (I'm not yet educated about local hardwood options....). Does anyone have any suggestions, since Google has recently become so bloated and unhelpful, about where I can source wood of this nature? thanks
  12. Understood. I was certain, upon reflection, that you were assuming I'd seen your pm before reading your post. That's why I was so ready to apologize. I guess I do things in a different order than you. I'm certain we both can live with that.
  13. I'm happy to apologize, since you've been very helpful. As to "rude", I actually thanked you first. my comments really were meant to curtail the type of long running analysis I've seen in this thread in times past. While no offense was intended, I'm happy to apologize if any were taken.
  14. Thanks, but, as I've said since my OP, I'm looking for sources, not a commentary on our times and prices. If you know someone, please hit me up.... thanks
