When I was young the parties were great.

Now I'm old they are crap.

Its not just me is it?

I'm married to a Thai girl...only been one year but she couldn't really care less how much money I earn...neither of us are rich...but we are very happy together.

I think your too concerned with the financial and not enough with the personality.

Money is an eveil necessity I guess! shouldn't get in the way of relationships though!

Congrats on the birth of your son!...out of interest are you going to bring him up speaking bi-lingual?.....I can't imagine how confusing it must be for a baby/child to have to learn two sets of languages!...

But as far as Russian 'special forces' go the words piss-up and brewery spring to mind.

Noddy and Bigears could of done a better job.

Good weed, beaches,FOOD!,sex,cheap stuff like cd's and DVD's, wicked cinemas (why can't the UK have cinemas like the ones on the top of that shopping centre Central Pinkloa or something which is in itself an awesome shopping centre, better than Milton Keynes anyhoos) friendlyish people, nice gold,cool elephants.

London underground can be really dreadfull of late not to mention the strikes currently causing chaos!....and the food is all so crap and expensive!

Oh!...I just read that and it was my wedding in total!...except I really enjoyed it!...loved meeting all the relatives, marvelled at the fab ice sculpture, enjoyed the food, laughed at the speaches, munched my way through waay too much cake, got nervous speaking in front of 150 relatives,got face ache smiling for hundreds of photos, had a great night getting pissed in the huge hotel bedroom, couldn't believe how cheap the whole thing was and was amazed when I counted all the money.

Compared to a £20,000 Uk wedding it was top draw!

What are you people complaining about?...are you all serial wedding goers?

I'd recommend a 'society' Thai wedding to anyone!

He doesn't deserve to be persecuted the way he has, there are far worse people out there, he has just become a scapegoat, an easy target.

The guy may benefit from some form of psychiatric help but I don't think he deserves to be hounded around the world the way he has.

I hear that Thai dope is amongst some of the best in the world, but is it considered a dreadful 'evil' in this country?.....from what I have read the authorities seem to have taken an over the top attitude to it and use it as an excuse to extort money from tourists.

Is it readily available to the locals? (I hear it is from various markets?)

Anyone any experience of this good or bad?

I like their food more than they like mine.

Spent a month in Thailand recently...to get married primarily..but was impressed with the low cost of silk products which are much more expensive in the UK...eg one shirt from Marks and Sparks £35-45 pounds...also gold seemed incredibly well priced...similar products in the UK costing 300% more....just mulling over the idea of bringing back silk products...but with the increased interest in Thai food in the UK....(Thai restaurants really are starting to pop up in the most unlikely of areas)...I can see a little 'all things Thai' shop doing well in Bath for example...or Covent Garden!...lol!..

What could be bought in Thailand then sold for a profit in the UK?...am thinking more along the lines of silk and gold etc than Thai stick....
