  1. I recently booked a flight from USA to thai. I had 2 layovers , one in narita and one in taiwan. Thaifly never tell me that I would have a layover in narita. There service really sucks! attempted to taklk to a rep about it many times and they really dont care. They said they would email me, never did. They say they will cal me back but never do. The online help is poor as well. They are very stupid people working there and they have no clue about itineary or anything regarding airline travel. Never use thaifly.com so you dont get screwed to!

  2. Wasabi.........do the K1 yourself. Only you care about the petition. I have heard horror stories of lawyers making mistakes and delaying visa applications for 1 year.

Daveh..........your fiance can pick up packet 3 from the emabssy if she brings receipt number on the first NOA. A copy of your letter from NVC will help to. They will open up a provisional file until the paperwork arrives at the embassy. This makes more work for the embassy so some advise against it.

You should go to www.visajourney.com for clarification

  3. Clarification for Mr. MaiNoiDoi!

I did intend to marry my fiance but you must undrstand that most Thai women (that are not bar girls) do not want to leave their country.

Our plan was to have her stay for the 90 days and then evaluate whether or not she was happy. Now that the end of the 90 days is at hand she would rather be in Thailand.

I might add that 90 days is not a sufficient amount of time for ANY expat to overcome the culture shock of living in a new culture.

You need to THINK OUT OF THE BOX...instead of jumping to conclusions like a jealous school girl!

why did u make such a foolish plan if you know 90 days is not enough to "evaluate" your situation.

  4. Aloha, from Hawaii! I will be in Thai On September for about 12 days. I was wondering if it is worth the trouble staying at one end of Sukhumvit for about 5 days and than perhaps staying in a hotel some where else for the remainder.. I wanted to be able to experience as much as possible but not the hassles with hotels.

Has anyone ever stayed at the Four Wings Hotel?

There are so many Hotels to choose from .. ANy suggestions for around Baht 1500. I would be willing to pay a little more if it is worth it. I just want t anice place that is not run down, clean, friendly and will let my Tgf in with no problems. Should i register the room with both of our names? Mahalo in advance!

  5. They seem very strict and conservative. Gf doesnt have a clue what to get them but she agree something would be nice. They are the kind of people that do not want their daughter to marry anyone. I think im going to need more than a pot of gold. Im hoping sincerity wins them over.

  6. Im going to meet tgf parents. What is a an appropriate gift for them? After reading some threads, there is no doubt that her thai/chinese father will want to shoot me so im hopig to get him buzzed with something to mess up his aim. Whats kind of drink do they consider very good. ...American, Bitish, Italian wine perhaps? I was thinkin a good whiskey,. Any suggestions?

As for the mom im clueless- not sure where to begin........
