  1. I doubt if the kick in the back was more than a nudge with a foot. It wasn't like to kicked a football. The doctor may be milking the incident for malicious reasons. She obviously wasn't injured. I think that the man should not be removed from the country. Watch the Thai News every day - thieves, robbers, murderers, hit-and-run drivers, drunk drivers, etc. They do far worse than this man, but we don't see the same outrage.

  2. A dowry never played a role in my marriage because my wife's an orphan who was working in a noisy factory on the outskirts of Bangkok. Because she has no parents and because she was happy to have a new life a dowry was never even mentioned. But I expect that foreigners will be required to pay quite a lot of money nowadays, especially if a lot of gold is expected. One Baht is around 40,000 Baht now.

Having followed the electric car debate on another thread (so many and so diverse opinions) I am cautious about asking the question but here goes.

My gf is being offered a Nissan hybrid (Kick e-power) well specified at about 800K so two questions.

    1. Anyone have knowledge of this car?

    2. Are the days of hybrids numbered?

I asked Google question 2 just now and looked at the general disadvantages of hybrid cars. Based on what came up, I wouldn't want one. Out of interest: 1) Are you buying the car for your (presumably) Thai girlfriend ... while you're not married? If you are, have you recently moved to Thailand? 2) If you're going to get married, you could buy a 4-door pick-up truck for around that price, and that would be more useful for a family. 3) If you buy the Nissan with cash, make sure you get a copy of the ID cards of the employee(s) you deal with. If you've lived in Thailand for a long time, you'll know why.

Hello, last time I filled in a TM47 was in april 2023

I left at the end of april and cam back in november. I went to Laos before the 90 days limit and came back on january 10th

TM 30 was filed in nobember 2022 by my land lord, he made a new one in january 2024 but the previous one was still valid

Yes I will make an appointment if I cannot doit online

I think you'll be all right. Whatever the cause is, it can be solved by being apologetic at the Immigration Office. The officials aren't monsters and they try to help people here legally.
The very worst that can happen is that you have to go to another country to get a  3-month visa (whatever it's called) and then you change it to the annual visa on returning to Thailand. But this is unlikely if you're kind and polite to the official.
In my 40 years here I once accidentally let my marriage visa expire while working abroad and that is what I had to do maybe 17 years ago.
If the official solves the problem for you, before you go home, get him something to eat or drink as a "thank you".

  5. I hope this doesn't mean MORE documents to renew the Marriage Visa. Will Immigration now require proof that you have no criminal record anywhere in the world? It takes an officer 50+ minutes at least to go through the 2 piles of documents as it is, including typing the same information provided each year and which they don't save. The whole process can be done online and followed up by a visit to Immigration to sign whatever. However, the coffee at Immigration in my province is nice, and the drive there and back is through lovely countryside, so it's not so bad.

  6. 105th Job Interviewer in New Zealand: Can you explain this 5-year gap in your resume?

NZ Tourist: I spent 5 years in a Thai prison after breaking multiple laws and attacking a policeman to get his gun, which fired as we struggled, but the bullet didn't hit anyone.

105th Job Interviewer in New Zealand: Why should I hire you in view of this?

NZ Tourist: Because I'm a good person.

105th Job Interviewer in New Zealand: Thank you for coming. We'll let you know our decision soon.

    Good luck finding a job!

I want to buy a used car in Thailand. But, since I am completely incompetent when it comes to car motors and other parts, I am quite worried about being cheated and ending up buying some junk. What can I do to avoid this scenario? Can I hire somebody to help me with the process of choosing the right vehicle? Any other ways? Thank you!

If I were in your situation I would ask a car repair mechanic whom I know to inspect the car. Pay him for the service and his time.
