I suspect there's more to the story than bad headaches.

Until you have ever had cluster headaches, you will never know the pain that's associated with them. It can last for several hours with very intense throbbing pain that effects your vision. They can last for several months and even longer with occurrences several times a day. It's worse than what a woman experiences during childbirth. The pain is so intense that it will make one go to extremes to stop them, even suicide. I know, I get them as well.

  2. They have photos of these low life's. Track them down and put them into the monkey house for a week or two and charge them 5000 baht each. Just no respect for anything or anyone, dog eat dog !!!

    There freaking mushrooms!!!!

Yes, they mat be just freaking mushrooms to you, but to a person/family whose livelihood depends on "there just freaking mushrooms" that are only available for a short period throughout the year, it means everything to them.

The punishment doesn't always fit the crime, but in this case, the blatant actions of those retrieving ill gotten gains in broad daylight, should indeed be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Maybe you should pull the silver spoon out of your mouth and try to make a living out of scratching dirt like most Thai farmers do, then maybe, just maybe you'll have a different outlook on "there just freaking mushrooms".

  3. Give Thailand 50 years and there will be a race division like the states if this "white skin is better" attitude keeps up.

As to the question of whether these creams are safe to use, some have been shown to cause cancer.

Please, don't compare the US to Asian racism. Despite the problems you see on the news, Korea and Japan are far more racist. The only reason you don't know about it is, those countries are so homogeneous that there's no critical mass of minorities to result in racist incidents. Perhaps the same is true of Thailand.

That's right. Don't compare the USA to Asians because the USA bows down to whatever the black people want. The USA allows them to burn their cities, destroy their communities and kill their fellow black people at random. They do all of this in the name of Black Lives Matter. So please, never compare the USA to Asians. Asians would never allow crap like this like we do. We are more concerned about being politically correct than telling it the way it is.

  4.

    Sentence seems about right.

What method of death does Thailand now use?

    lethal injection

Thanks, what was it previously, firing squad, hanging?

There was no firing squad in Thailand!

They used machine gun, which was controlled by electric push button.

This is common knowledge ignorant mates!

Read books written by Chavoret Jaruboon: "The Last Executioner" and another one, about his life and work.

They are available in English on international markets,as well as in Kindle, googlebooks and in Thai language.5US$ only - a steal!very interesting reading.

Susan Aldous(The Angel of BangKuang) also wrote something about him(interviews).

If you can not read because of your poor eyesight, then you may watch

the movie"The Last Executioner" based on above mentioned books.

I understand, that position of executioner is currently vacant...

During the Rattanakosin period, Thailand--then called Siam--was under the "Law of the Three Seals", also called “Kotmai Tra Samduang”. This system was codified in 1805 during the reign of King Rama I under absolute monarchy and remained in place until Thailand transitioned into a constitutional monarchy, following a bloodless revolution in 1932. There were 21 different forms of capital punishment under the Law of the Three Seals, many of them extremely cruel--for example, those convicted of treason would be wrapped in oil-soaked cloth and set on fire. Execution methods have changed over the years. In 1938, for example, convicts were executed using a single automatic rifle. In 2001 five convicts were executed by firing squad in a public execution, provoking strong criticism from human rights groups. A total of 325 inmates have been executed at Bang Kwang. Most of these were executed by machine gun. The last execution of this type took place on 11 December 2002. This was then changed to lethal injection. Four inmates were executed by this method on 12 December 2003. Six years later, on 24 August 2009, two more inmates were executed. There hasn’t been any executions since.

In 2003 Thailand adopted lethal injection as the official method of execution.

  5. My Yamaha Nuovo 135cc runs OK on 91 or 95 gasohol, but runs far better on 95 straight gasoline. No rough idle, starts easier and better mileage which mitigates some of the extra cost. Gasohol is a scam put over on the public by agribusiness and government. One of the reasons food prices have risen so much. 40% of the US corn crop has been diverted to manufacturing ethanol instead of feeding livestock and people and is subsidized by the "greenies" in government. It's all BS, just like global warming and climate change. Us peasants end up paying the freight on these politically motivated boondoggles. Thailand is no different in that it's just following the lead of other greenies as a gesture. LOS ought to start by picking up all the roadside trash and educating the populace about turning a paradise into a trash pit. But that's a discussion for another forum.

Dogbreath, you're exactly right. If they would take the gasoline out of the gasohol you could drink what's left and get drunk. Leave it sit around in a container for a month or so and you can see it separate.

  6. You have to put your wallet a little lower than your back pocket. Maybe in between the crack is you catch my drift.

OP, I've heard of that before, although I've never experienced it.

So I gave it a try by putting my money in my back pocked, hoping that nobody will accept it.

    But I was so wrong.

Nobody flicked an eyelid when they wanted money from me.sad.png

    Wishful thinking.

  7. Onlookers didn't intervene. What kind of sick society is this?

here we go Thai bashing again and claim some onlookers are representative for a society! it's you who is sick! w00t.gif

It isn't Thai bashing...it's the Thai norm to look the other way while someone is getting the s^#t beat out of them...if it doesn't concern me then it's not my problem. In a civilized country, this would be called accessory to the fact.

  8. Obama is teaching the way, Cuba, Iran,.....A legacy that probably, and sadly, will be annulled by a new Republican US Government, but is showing now his real soul, the one admired by his followers, and is not manipulated by other's interest. Obama is working now to leave the US Presidency with proud, and showing the way to PEACE.

While the nation falls to new lows from his incompetence in handling more important matters.

  9. And if the guy had killed a young child and her mother with his drink driving antics - would you all still be posting the same "OMG I can't belive the policeman did that" ? Or would you be saying he deserved it?

The only thing wrong there is that he should have been given that kick whilst he was resisting arrest, then it would have been absolutley fine. Either way a good shoeing was called for one way or another, the courts wouldn't stop him doing it again. Maybe he'll remember that kick next time he thinks about getting behind the wheel and driving like a nutter.

I just love it when someone makes a comparison that never happened. If the guy killed a mother and child while driving drunk, all the Thais standing nearby would have kicked him to death...even if he was handcuffed.

  10.

I'm sure many people on this forum have had similar experiences ..

So why did you expect yours to be different?

We all reap what we sow.

Can't help you. There is no good solution, and I feel no pity for those who cheat when they are in a, as you misrepresent it, "serious long-term relationship." I think you got what you deserved. I just hope your partner, didn't.

I don't recall asking for moral judgement so please keep it to yourself

  11. Kudos to the guy.

But I'd have held the information back until I had parlayed the gold into a couple of metal detectors and searched my whole property a few times over.

Then I'd have allowed the 500 others to have a look.

    I'm selfish like that.

Then I would have told them that they have to plant a plam tree shoot in every hole they dig. Sit back and drink a cold Singha while all the work gets done.

Terrible story, the poor little boy. I guess he and his father lived a quite life and pretty much kept to themselves. I hope English relatives come forward and offer the little guy a real chance in life.

Must have missed it somewhere! Where did it say the father was English? Racism is a funny thing: it's much closer to home than you think!

    My apologies, British not English.

To all those offended by what appears as an extremely racist post, my apologies. In no way did racism enter my mind when I wrote it and it was never intended to appear racist. Again my very sincere apologies to all those offended.

May I suggest that the Mods remove my post. I am very sorry.

Why? Why should your valid comments be removed just because some people chose to interpret your post as "racist"?

It was not. Retain the post and keep posting!

And hear I thought only the USA was thin skinned. The boy lost his British father and all some want to do is come down on another person for referring to the British father as English. What is wrong with everyone wanting to cry racism just because it offended them.
