  1. Ive had one for over a year and find its a great little car, not the best at much but not bad either

For the price i thought it was best only issue was a rear brake which was completly replaced under warrtany

we considered the swift but it has less room for the driver and my wife didnt like the smaller boot opening

main issue with the swift at the time was no english information from the dealer of website to know what you were getting for your money (which is dearer for the swift)

Ill sell you mine as im going home on thursday lol

  2. Slow down people....there is nothing in this story that says scam except the headline.

A few futsal fields are showing wear 2 years after construction and these stupid journalists assume corruption. The story simply says the company may have assets seized and is being investigated. Wait until investigation is complete before jumping to conclusions

Atually if there is no corruption it would be the exception to the rule

usuall Its not hidden in any clever way as they dont think anyone can do anything about it

the contracts that get bid for around where I am ask for up to 50% of the contracts value in cash before you get the contract

That means you have to do the work for half the money. Its no wonder things dont last

Ive even asked lawyers to do some things for me but they always ask for the bribe money they have to pay on top of the fees. Even buying land from a policeman didnt help me having to pay a bribe for the transfer

  3. Hi had my own pools for 20 years at home (NZ) and not a fan of chlorine but it is effective

I have used tri chlor tablets in the skimmer to add chlorine (has cyanuric acid)

But i reduced my chlorine need by adding copper and silver to the water with an ioniser

many ways to do this and if you got the electodes made here would be pretty cheap

when i build my pool in issan will be doing this

im in issan happy to discuss if i can help

    cheers

best of luck finding liquid chlorine

  4. Happened to me this morning

My wid\fe said she would be downstaris with my niece for me to take her to school at 7:45 (we confirmed this at 7:35)

    7:55 still not there

    wonders why im annoyed

But as i have spent time in the pacific islands i understand the concept of island time (same same as thailand)

They are more laid back than us

but it still anoys me when others make a time and dont keep to it

    cest la v ie

  5. yeas i like the schwepps range much better than the others

although i tried the dry ginger when i couldnt get the manao and was disappointed (not very gingery and too sweet)

The local ma and pa shop stocks it again now so must be coming back

Bitter lemon would be great if i could find it

But i drink soda water now for the fizzy bite but some say thats not that good for you either

  6. I got a non- o from Savanakhet in January based on support of child

no financial required ( a friend did same ) just have your paper work

That said you can get a 60 day extension from immigration while your money matures in the bank (there is no requirement for financial proof)

Then get your one year extension

i have just gone through getting the one year extension in Udon thani and it was quite a rigmarole as new requirements were added on each visit

Even though they accepted my application (finally) I had to go in yesterday again with another witness they now say again no problem (my wife says they just did not want to visit our house, I dont live in Udon thani)

They took photographs of my family the witness outside immigration.

P.S. this is thailand and anything can be different on a different day and location

You apparently got a single entry non-o visa, Which I suspect was not for only having a child. Did you include your marriage certificate with the application?

And now have done an extension of stay. Which appears to of been done based upon marriage since you mentioned your wife,

Yes it was a single entry non-o

No it did not include a marriage certificate as i wasnt married at the time

My friend who is not married to his girlfriend also got the same with no issues

3 months earlier i got the same visa in Vientiane with no need for proof of funds

  8. OK, I have an update on this ... and it is good news.

Since my first experience with the taro milk with pearls, I later tried a standard milk tea with pearls, 30 percent sugar. The standard milk tea comes with the milk and tea mixed. The milk tea is pretty good (I have a lot of experience with bubble tea so I feel my opinion is informed) but nothing really special. The bubbles were still great and this time the sugar was reduced as ordered.

OK, but finally I ordered what is REALLY special there! The Gong Cha tea with the cream on top, just as the linked blog in my OP raves about! Silly of me to resist so long. It is very exceptional. I'm not going to bother repeating the rave from the blog. I totally agree. They had green tea and I had oolong. The tea was so good, clearly skillfully brewed and very strong. The cream was so good. The bubbles were so good. You really MUST drink it a little differently. The instructions are in the blog. Experience the Cream first! Don't forget. There are instructions in Thai on the cup. I knew about this so I talked to the servers and one of them volunteered the advice. They are not bothering telling everyone it seems. But y'all reading this should know. Do NOT mix the cream up before attacking the cream first.

The Gong Cha special tea, super delicious and strong brewed tea, separated from the SPECIAL cream on top also is available in melon tea in addition to the green and the oolong. The cost of my Gong Cha SPECIAL oolong tea with bubbles was 65 baht. Worth every satang. The standard Gong Cha teas come without any bubble options. I will always go with bubbles (pearls) but this tea would still be great without additions.

    The instructions from the blog:

    1. Open the lid and drink, letting the tea pass through the foamy layer.

    2. Insert the straw and enjoy the flavor of the tea.

    3. Use the straw to stir and enjoy the combined flavor of the tea and milk.

Thanks i will go and try soon

FYI the pearls (or boba) are not the bubbles.

Bubble tea was originally just a cold milk tea that was shaken until frothy pearls were added later as an option

    Have a good Day

  9. What exactly do they mean by "IP violators"?

Is it that a lot of people are downloading, or is it because of servers in Thailand storing and making available pirate warez on the net?

To me that is an extremely stupid headline. There are multitudes more warez servers around the world than Thailand would ever be able to host.

The article reads Internet Protocol violation and not about product available on the street................thumbsup.gif

    Copy? Right!.....................wink.png

I think you will find it is Intellectual Property (Poor of the article to not make that clear)

  10. Time for us "Farlangs" so say goodbye to Thailand and head for greener pastures.

Huh? Exactly why do I need leave TH?

Pease provide us with a list of your top five spots you are suggesting. Please bear in mind:

    1. How delightful are the local people?

    2. How reasonable is the place to live?

    3. How food is the local cuisine?

    4. What about the local women? Are they attractive? Open to relationships with foreigners?

It is fine to say you want to leave, but where to?

As for your last reason (women). All than well if you are a sex tourist or prefer the seedier side of Thailand but any decent Thai women wouldn't want want a bar of a farang guy.

What a ..... you are (and completely off topic) he said relationship

Used to go to Phuket years ago but now wont go near the place.
