  3. Hello,

I am an Indian and working in Thailand on Non-IB visa. My family is also staying with me here on Non-O visa. This month my wife got an offer for teaching in a Thai Govt. school.

Please help me to know the following

    1. Do my wife need to get a new visa? (She has Non-O visa as of now)

if yes, how? does she need to go out of country for this or it can be changed in Thailand also?

    2. The school is applying for her work permit. They asked for Passport, Degree certificate and other educational certificates. What else she may need to get WP?

    Many thanks & best regards

  4. Thanks....I may contact the finance to get a copy of blue book.

Thanks for reply....I don't have any Blue Book....as I got this car on finance by SCB, I only have insurance paper/a copy of finance from SCB bank / stickers pasted on front screen.

I have Toyota Vios "E"....how much do I need to pay as tax.

Viriyha Insurance can be purchased from company itself, or through broker like Toyota dealer or Thaivisainsurancedotcom. Be aware of common scams from showroom sales staff collecting your money, but never buy Insurance for you. Price differ, depending on car. even a small claim, you v lost next years No Claim Bonus 20%. NCB follows car. Your contract with Finance probably require you to keep car 1st class insured

Tax, Invoice should be recieved from Financecompany a few weeks prior to due, and payed to them. If not bring copy blue book to DLT, pay and recieve window sticker there. A small car is like 700 baht, 4door 3,0 is 6800 baht. Proof of compulsory Insurance is needed to pay/recieve tax sticker

tax is approx 700 baht for Vios

I would contact Finance to pay tax and get a copy of blue book, as a copy in car is required by law

  6. Hello All,

First of all I'ld like to say thanks to the forum & speciall those who replied me for License renewal issue....by the advise I got my license renewed without any problem....many thanks for that.

Last year April 18th I bought a car from TOYOTA (financed by SCB)....the Insurance/Foloboo (don't know what is exactly in English) / and Car Registration all were done by showroom it self. Now I've to renew all those....pl. advise me

    1. I have 1st party Insurance from VIRIA Insurance Co., how do I renew it? Should I ask the showroom to do it and I just pay only or is there any other way?

    2. will it be cheaper if I go by my self than asking the showroom or other channels?

    3. wot would be the aprox. cost , if I plan to buy 1st party insurance again? I didn't have any big claim last year....only one for some scratches on my car when I was parking it @ home....but not so big.....

    4. How to get renewd "FOLOBOO"?

    5. How to get renewd "Car Registration"....?

    6. where I can apply for renewal of Car Registration....and how much do I need to pay?

all information and advises would be highly appriciated.

    Many Thanks & Best Regards

It would be great if someone can guide me for the following

When I got my temporary license last year; I was working and living in Ayutthaya but in the mid of last year I changed my job and now working in Laski, Bangkok but still living in Ayuthaya....

    1. before how many days of the expiry of temporary license, I can apply for renewal?

    2. can I get my license renewed at Ayuthaya office or I've to go to Bangkok office.

  9. Hello All,

I am having an IPTV connection at my home to watch Indian TV channels....it is routed somewhere from chingmai....for this I only need one broadband connection, so I've TOT 4 Mbps connection at my home. I got this IPTV April this year and it was working very fine till 12th of November....I can surf the net and watch TV at same time without having any problem....but after 12th....now I can not watch tv anymore....

from 12th Nov. onwards when ever I switch on my TV, it works fine for 2-3 minutes and then goes to slow motion....then I need to refresh the channel and again it works fine for next 2-3 minutes....I contacted the supllier and he replied that its a problem of ur net , so I called TOT , they came and found that my net is working very fine....even they increased the speed alreay from 4 to 6 mbps....but still I can't use my tv. I then tested this system to one of my friends home....and I can watch TV without any problem.

yep also one thing to mention that my TV works fine daily 2-3 hrs without any problem in morning hours (between 7 am to 10 am)....but after that, I can't watch it....Now problem is supllier is saying it is a problem of TOT where as TOT said that our net is working normally....so we can't do any thing....

if any one is having same problem and got solution OR if someone know how do I come out from this....pl let me know....

    Thanks in advance

  11. When I resigned from my old company and joined the new one in Thailand, the Old one informed BOI and Immigration office to cancel the position and Visa status and after that I got a extension of 7 days free of cost to get another visa from New Company or to leave the country....So pls. check with your company when the are putting this to Immigration office....once they put your docs to Immigration office, your Passport will get another stamp that your old visa is cancelled and you can now stay for a max. of 7 days (really it is 5 days, but assuming one sat and one sun, it is always 7 days.)....hope it'll help

  12. Hello All,

I've a case related to 90 days reporting in Thailand....for my wife and my son 90 days is scheduled on 06th July 2010....so I sent all the required docs + envalop with a stamp of 5 bhat by registered mail to Laksi office "Immigration Division 1, Changwattana Road" on 19th of June 2010 and then checked on Thai Post web site that they have recd. it on 23rd June 2010, but till date I didn't recd. reply from their side.

As the date is already passed yesterday I m a little bit worried about....that whether they will take care of this or not & will send back the lower part of TM 47 to me or not....also the receit available on Thai Post for the registered mail is showing unsigned....but showing delivered successfully....what should I do? does anyone have same case....do I need to go there and meet them in person or should wait for some more time....but as it is reached already on 23rd june and today is 7th july , I m really worried about....pls suggest me....

    Rahul
