  1. Actually they do give you a 'handbook for parents' at the beginning of the school year. If you make time to come to the meeting before school starts you will get one as well. They do write in their policy that boys should have short hair, period. Not only Thai schools require their male students to have a short clean haircut. Anyway, I also do not understand that you have to complain on TV about this. I find Varee to be a very open school and it is easy to talk to the director or teachers if you have any feedback. They do their best to keep us updated on everything ( take a look at their website, it looks great and fully updated ). Over the years I have noticed many changes at the school in response to parents' feedback.

  2. I think many people had problems with her, so did I, so did my friend. I don't even have to PM you to know her name.

Altough I have to say: my problems got sorted out in time and she has arranged a Business class ticket for two on an international flight. But I haven't booked a ticket there since, and that's four years ago..

  4. Panthip Plaza! They have one shop that sells copies from dvd's for 100 baht. You can choose the one you would like to have out of a book. They have plenty of cartoons and all the Disney movies. The copies are good quality.

The shop is on the first floor, somewhere on a corner and they have wooden benches and tables in front. Sorry I can not be more specific as I don't go there often..but if I remember well, when you go through the main entrance at Changklan road, you just need to walk straight on, at the end the shop is on the right..

  5. Both of our kids are at Varee and we are very happy about our decision. You can check out their website, it has an English Version also. They have lots of information on the website. You can read the EP blogs to have an idea what they are doing in class. Our oldest one can read fluently in both languages and loves school. The little one is at Kindergarten 2 and started to read and write Thai and became very fluent at both languages as well. Varee is maybe a little bit more expensive than other schools but I feel they invest a lot in infrastructure and they have great teachers.

  6. Both of my kids are at Varee. My oldest one is in EP, the youngest one is in Anubaan.

There are 24 students in the EP class. I think maximum for one class is 35, not 24.

Both of them are happy to go to school everyday and have made a lot of progress. We feel we have made the right decision for them after visiting all the schools in Chiang Mai.

I think it is important for kids who are living in Thailand to fully be able to use Thai language. EP gives you both.

I am also impressed with the teachers, both foreign and Thai. Altough I think it would be a good idea to get parents a bit more involved. I think it would be a good idea to start a PTA at Varee school. In the past I have noticed that any feedback from parents is taken seriously.

Overall, I 'm sure Varee is one of the best schools in Chiang Mai to send your kids to.
