I also blame the top dog of the education system .... he has obviously failed in teaching his managers, principles, supervisors, hired teachers, staff and anyone else ..to explain and instill in the kids that a good education is an absolute must and the reasons why.

Last I read it's an ex cop linked to a high profile case who got the Minister of Education post.

  2. I'm in Bangkok Kannika.

Last resort might be to just do that. In the meantime if anyone has other suggestions please share.

    I live in a condominium.

I put any parts and things which might be reusable or sellable in the garbage room. The cleaners know what to do with it. Problem solved.

Did you mean 14 weeks (98 days)? or did you mean 14 days?

I just assumed 14 days more as that would total 90 days in the kingdom.

2 hours ago, Mike Teavee said:

I'm assuming the latter (14 days) as MAF advises  Singaporeans need to have a Visa if they want to spend more than 90 days in any 6 month period in Thailand

    https://www.mfa.gov.sg/Overseas-Mission/Bangkok/Consular-Services/Thai-Visa-Application-for-Singapore-Citizens#

... And she will have used up 75 days of the 90 with the original Visa Exempt entry + extension.

If this is the case then a Border bounce will only get her the 14 days after which she will either need to spend 3 months outside of Thailand or go somewhere to get a Visa (The Thai Embassy on Orchard Road being an obvious choice, Laos or Vietnam also options)

I thought a border bounce would give you another 45 days. Going back to Singapore is not preferable, a Thai border trip close to Bangkok is what I'm looking for right now. I'd like to know if a daily trip is possible or she needs t stay the night. And if I'm missing anyhting if she decides this.

If she does decide to get the extra 14 days then she will have to leave the country so (assuming Singaporeans still have the special immigration lanes at BKK) I would recommend she takes a short holiday back home to Singapore & then re-enters (Even if she gets a 45 day visa exempt when coming back she would technically be on overstay after 14 days, whether she would be caught or it would cause a problem later on is another matter).

If she doesn't want to go to Singapore then I'd recommend flying to Udon Thani & cross over into Laos at Nong Khai (Very easy to do & when we did the trip, 9th-12 Feb, it was quite quiet both ways), she won't need to pay the $40 visa on arrival cost, but the (Thai) GF did have to pay 20Baht to be stamped in & out of Laos (We were there for a holiday so she couldn't use the temporary border pass) so she may have to pay that.

  4. Can I hop on board this page as I have a couple of questions and seeking advise.

Mum's (Singapore passport) on a visit here, arrived on the 11th Dec2012 and was given a 45 days visa to 23rd Jan. She then had a 30day extension at Laksi Bangkok immigration which expires on the 23rd of Feb. If she wanted to stay longer, can she do a border bounce? I think Bangkok Immigration will only give her another 14 weeks. She'd like to stay 2months if possible. What are her options?

What problem does the fact that you don't have a hard copy of your Covid-19 vaccination certificate create for you, given that the Singaporean authority prefers to see your digital certificate?

I guess old school mindset that hard copy is somehow more official. You're right and actually a good thing about the digital era, less paper is great! If only the yearly visa extensions would go this route.

You can get the citizenship changed at your vaccination site mine shows it, passport number they weren’t sure about when I went but things could have changed as I went a couple months ago because of errors in the MorProm app

You mean go to the place where I got vaccinated to input my passport number and citizenship? It was a temp site, the CAT convention hall in CW. I don't think it's open for that anymore.

The attached is the info shown on the app. Why does it say this QR code is under test?

I'd like to ask if anyone here has travelled just using the app from the phone for verification without hard copy.

    Do you have MorProm?

If so, check UNDER Digital Health Pass  and then EU Digital Covid Certificate!

There is your certificate for the EU and also singapore!

This is how my MorProm shows it

Yes I have the app and did what you said and have the same window with QR code. It doesn't show my passport number and no entry for citizenship. It does have my name though and Thai ID number. If this is all needed then I'm set. Thank you for your time showing me, deeply appreciated.

Can't you take a screenshot of the vaccination (from the Mor Prom App) and upload that?

The furthest I got into the app is choosing the appointment date for QR or self pickup and both of them are on the 29th/30th June. I didn't select either and got out of the app and decided to ask for info here before proceeding.

For uploading,.. I do have the document given to me when I took the shot (issued at makeshift vaccine center at CAT near immigration CW) but some of it is in Thai and I don't think it would be recognized the same as a vaccine cert.

  9. Hi, I'm using the More Prom app for applying a vaccination cert for traveling to Singapore (assuming I need one). I need it by the end of this week. Upon application in the app it says the booking time is 30th of June for pick up and and 29th, 30th June for QR application. Please do advise of what I should do to get it done by this week. thanks.

    Finally!

You currently have a 12'month extension based on marriage.

You will require a reentry permit prior to exit from Thailand.

Can purchase multiple reentry permit or single reentry.

    3800 and 1000baht respectively.

Can be obtained at immigration or airport

Sorry for the confusion or frustration. I'm aware of the requirements for reentry permit as I've had this visa for over 10 years. But now is the 1st time since covid that I'm traveling out and back to the kingdom and not sure/aware of requirements/ forms/ procedure. Thanks again for everyone's input.

    I'll ask again,..

I'm reading another thread that mentions Mor Prom app. Is this the same as applying here? https://www.thaitravelclinic.com/covid-vaccine-passport-eng.html. Or more to the point, where should I apply for vaccine cert to travel to Singapore,.. if anyones knows..

You could of been a little clearer in what you meant.  Just saying a vaccine passport is not need could lead to some confusion. Some people call a vaccination certificate a vaccine passport.

Yes, I'm not sure what it's called, I thought the 2 are interchangeable, vaccine passport and vaccine cert.

Think you must have a ME Non O based on marriage.

The ME standing for multiple entry.

At the same time you ask about reentry permit?

Just to be clear.....you didn't obtain a 12 month extension to a non O marriage visa?.

Where did you obtain your "1 year spouse visa"

I extended my 1 year spouse O at CW Bangkok December 2021 which is valid til end of this year.. I have not applied for any RE permit.

  12. Hi all, I have a one year spouse O visa based on marriage. I could possibly have a trip to Singapore coming up soon and prepping for that. As far as I know I need a vaccine passport that I will apply from https://www.thaitravelclinic.com/covid-vaccine-passport-eng.html . This should meet the requirement for traveling there. What I'm unsure about is upon return,.. is there compulsory health insurance I need to provide Thai immigration or anyone else? Any advise on this or something I missed is appreciated.
