You can have as many 45 day visa exempt arrivals by air as you want,
-
Why bother, just get a 45 on arrival then extend for 30 days and if you need more a quick holiday to Cambodia and repeat,
-
If all the building had gutters and downpipes connected to the storm water drains it would keep a lot off the streets,

The agents will be meaning, you come in on a visa exempt, you have to change that to a o visa which will give you another 90 days then change that to a non o based on retirement, my understanding is that is the process you have to go through,
-
What documentation do you need to apply for the o- visa in Thailand, thanks
-
How many 30 day extensions can you get on a visa exempt entry ?
-
Would also like to travel to the uk but would like to find out which countries I could stop in for 10 days before I reach the uk to avoid any type of quarantine, British citizen, double jabbed with Pfizer, thanks,

You lose no days by doing it early. The new extension will start from the day the current one expires.
I renewed mine in august which was due in September and they started it on the day I applied , I was robbed of 2 weeks ,,,,,,it was the first time I had to get OA related insurance so maybe that had something to do with it as they said the insurance had to start on the day I applied ,

The wording may have changed to welfare but it doesn't changed the fact that Australian workers paid into the OAP retirement fund many years. I have an idea why the name was changed but I won't get into government BS here.
My wife in Australia is getting a Carers Payment and that is welfare even though technically all welfare payments from the government paid by Australian tax payers.
Thought the Australian pension is means tested, so if you have any money you would not be eligible for a pension,

I did as JimHuaHin above did, i.e. updated my will here, signed it and got two Aussies over 18 here to witness it, original in safe, scanned copy to my daughter who is also the executor as is my Thai wife and emailed it to her back in Oz.
If you go to the Oz embassy expect to pay about $70AUD if not $90AUD for them to sign a stat dec for you which is not a requirement as far as I am aware.
Does it have to be signed by Australians ?

Laws were introduced a few years ago to counter the demands made from loan sharks. The problem is that loan sharks might actually be people who are often in uniform and / or are not the nicest people in the world and will react in an unpleasant way if the law comes after them. Not the advice you want to hear, I am sure, but sometimes the best thing to do is to establish what the debt was for, how much it is and clear it once and for all.

The weather was perfect for walking, lots of rain cloud around but no rain, and a strong sea breeze to keep you cool, so it wasn't the weather that was keeping people away. My immediate thought was that perhaps a lot of people who were staying here on short-term visas had finally given up with the amnesty ending and had headed back home.
My neighbour opposite, who's here on a tourist visa since March, has decided to fly back tomorrow with Qatar. He says it's because a lot of things have gone wrong for him in the last six months and he's getting fed up with Thailand, but I think he probably left it too late to get a new visa, or else the price was too high.
My friends are flying out tomorrow on Lufthansa to Manchester, they were booked on Emirates but cancelled because you need a Covid-19 test and have to do the 14 day isolation because you transit Dubai, they would have stayed longer but had to jump through to many hoops to stay, they were big spenders,

Thanks all
The scammers need you to put in your number 3 times so they can make a duplicate card.......only joking,,,,

I would think for a 1000 baht one would be able to obtain one from any of the clinics or have the Thais gone straight ,,,,,,

I’m in such a tricky situation. I am waiting to start work in November/ January at the latest. I have a job offer from a BOI company and I can’t get the non B while inside Thailand - have to get it from outside - all surrounding countries have compulsory quarentine or a complete ban on foreigners entering.
flying to uk and back here with flights and paying for quarentine will cost me roughly 80,000 baht all in.
and before any Thai visa experts claim you can get it at changwattana - no you can’t. CW does not deal with boi companies at all its all done through chamchuri square and even to this day the rules haven’t changed. Get the visa from an outside embassy.
i need to stay here for as long as I can until I can actuslly start work or I’ll have no money left going back to uk.
agency couldn’t help - boi companies have no ways Around.
I obviously can’t tell the uk embassy my exact situation as they will think I’m just working under the table maybe ?
i just litterslly can’t do anything on a tourist visa so it’s huge if I get this extension and then maybe another one next month.
im just hoping I can stay here until things die down a bit and I can fly out locally somewhere to Vietnam in the near future and get my non B and hopefully all this compulsory quarentine is over or atleast I don’t have to pay 50-70K baht to be in quarentine or I can just do it at my own apartment.
any advice what to say? I obviously don’t want to fly back to uk as I have nowhere to go. It’s not a straight forward decision to just ‘ go back to your passport country ‘ for a lot of folk.
Have you tried to get a medical certificate ?
