  1. just update some info for people who may need it:

talked to the staff at Thai embassy of Cairo. They issue tourist visa for non-eygpt residence, however, it takes 4 working days.

Talked to the staff at Thai consulate of Suttgart: Submit application in person, get the visa right the way. Submit it by mail, usually takes 2 weeks to get it back. I told her that I would use express services and provide postage for return, but she said they still need about 2 weeks for processing.

Did anyone get their visa in Hamburg? Will call them on Monday. Hamburg seems the cloest option in distance to Berlin. About 90-120 minutes by train.

  2. We are looking for part-time female amateur models for our

online boutique store. No previous experiences required. Very flexible, work

and people who are creative and passionate about fashion. This job requires some

basic English. Preferred age is 18-27. Any ethnicity is welcomed.

If interested, please download the application here or on

    our website: http://www.theoliveshoppe.com/application/modeling.doc

Fill it out as much as you can, and send by PM along with a photo

of clear face and body with no or light makeup. We will contact you as soon as possible.

  3. I used express post. It got there overnight. They can turn it around the same day and send back overnight if you include a return express envelope.

They are only open a few days of the week however so you should call ahead and tell them your time constraints. They are very accommodating.

I mailed application form, 2 passport pics, my passport and money.

Thank you very much, kilt. By the way, did you remember how much is the total shipping cost? which consulate did you submit your application? Sttutgart?

  4. I just saw a few posts that claim tourist visa is not free, but I got mine free (single entry) on Aug 06 in shanghai, china, and again on Nov 05 in kuala lumpur, malaysia. No question asked, no extra paperwork required. Just one application and one photo (they don't care about photo size in shanghai.) Got both visa on the following day. I am going to cairo in Jan, so I will report when I am back from that trip. However, they say it takes 3 days to process visa in cairo though :(

  5. we are going to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday next year in Bali. I ddn't know there is a consulate, so I was thinking to come back with no visa and go out 30 days later. Now I guess i will pick up a tourist visa when i am there. I will do a report after the trip.

by the way, where can i find a list that includes every thai embassy and consulates around the world? it might be very handy

  6. my 2 cents:

My friend has taiwanese and american passport. Based on her experience, Malaysia sometimes is very strict on dual nationality and gives hard time to people who hold two passport, even in the same name! She went to Taiwan first using her Taiwanese passport in and out, and tried to enter Malaysia using american passport. The staff questioned her where she was before coming to malaysia and there were no stamps. So she showed them the Taiwanese passport. Then she was asked to enter using Taiwanese passport with applying a visa on arrival insted of using American passport.

So my suggestion is to avoid malaysia for your run. As what I know, Hong Kong and Taiwan don't give a shit about dual passport holders because most of their people hold two passport (at least rich people.)

  7. Hi, I am American and I am planning to go to Berlin next Jan. I have searched the forum, and found one post that says he got rejected for tourist visa in Berlin. The reason is they only issue such a visa to German citizen and residence. Did anyone have any luck in the past? If the answer is a 100% no, did anyone get the tourist visa in Cairo? I may stop over at Cairo for a couple days on the way back. Thanks, everyone.

  8. Hi, I like to plan ahead for the visa run. However, I just find out there is a problem for me. Next year, I have two events to attend back home due to family matters. There are 65 days bewteen the two trips. I have already purchased the tickets. However, I will also go to chiangmai/chiangrai after I come back from the first trip. So I am just wondering whether I can get my 60-day tourist visa and not to use it at the first entering. I plan to enter Thailand with 30-day visa exemption, and later cross land border from my chiangmai/chiangrai trip to laos/combodia and come back to use the 60-day tourtist upon entering. So it will give me enough length to cover my stay till the next trip. I don't need to extend my visa and pay 1900 baht for only 5 extra days.

Is it possible? Any of you have done that (not use the toursit visa upon entering)? Please advise me if there is any better idea. Thanks!

  9. My link

hong kong can do 2 if u have the required documentation

Thank you, ricequeen, that is very helpful information. airtickets between hong kong and bangkok sometimes are really cheap. plus, i love the food in hk too!

Don't know whether it is working for everyone as long as having the listed supporting documents. did anyone else get double entry visa in hk?

i will definitely give a try in the future. I will update the information afterward.

  10. Actually there is never more than one Embassy in any country - but there can be more than one Consulate.

The only place known to routinely issue free 2 entry tourist visas in the area is Vientiane. Other may or may not depending on applicant and local policy (which tends to change).

Thank you for correcting me. yeah, there is one thai embassy and 7 consulates in china.

So how about Thai embassy in Burma, Combodia and Peneng, Malaysia? Did they stil issue double entry depending on conditions? or they no longer issue such visa at all?

  11. Hi all, thank everyone for updating great information here!

I am currently traveling in Shanghai, China now. Heard alot people talking about double entry or triple entry tourist visa to Thailand. I couldn't find any information relates to that on Thailand embassy website. I went to Thai embassy here in Shanghai, and they said there is only single entry tourist visa available, and I couldn't be granted second one if I already have one tourist visa that is not expired. So I guess the "double entry" or "triple entry" is "unofficial" thing. Since the policy changes so frequently, I would like to know where is my best chance to get "double" or "triple" entry visa nowadays. Laos, Combodia, Burma, or Penang, Malaysia? How about Kuala Lumpur?

Such above countries are mentioned over and over in the forum. However, since I am going to be in Thailand for a while, and air tickets aren't too expensive, I am planning to travel to many other countries in the region on my visa run. Did anyone know what the chances are to get "double" or "triple" entry visa in Thai embassy in countries like Vietnam, the Phillipines, Indonesia, Brunei, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, India, Japan, South Korea and any other countries in the Asia Pacifia and middle east region. I wanna make sure that even if they don't issue you double entry visa, at least they don't turn down your application for single entry one. I heard Embassy in Singapore and Hong Kong even turns down back to back tourist visa application.

Since I am here in China now, and there are 8 Thai embassy here in China, did anyone get any luck to get "double" or "triple" entry tourist visa in any other embassy beside shanghai? by the way, I am holding US passport.

    Thank you in advance.
