Guess that even if people put their businesses up for sale no one would be interested in buying!

I am sure anyone who previously wanted to set-up a business on Phuket will wait at least a year to look for proper signs of a recovery.

My friend from Hua Hin (who lost his bar there to a Thai "lady") was down in Phuket about a month ago, looking for a business. He said that anything that was up for sale was extremely expensive !! I have read before that Thais are extremely to take a loss on any sort of deal, but you would think what with the situation there now, that there would be some bargains around??

I was luck to be at Karon Beach that day instead of Patong !! :o

  2. Like livinLOS says in his 09 27, 18:40 post, I was seriously considering making the move to live permanently in Thailand. I have noticed such a diference in the place in only 6 years of visiting there that I am having to reconsider my choice. I don't have to stay out partying until 4 am every night, but I would like to have the choice to do so when I want! Even in 'Victorian' Victoria (known for its surplus of aging retirees) you can get a drink in a club until 3:00 am.....
