  1. Can't wait to see her in a tight army uniform.

we've already seen her entire military family emblazoned with chestfuls of medals all..

The warrior family's collective ribbon total is impressive, even after just a week of their first time in civil service.

BANGKOK, July 12 -- An Iranian man was detained at Thailand’s main international airport for allegedly smuggling crystal methamphetamine, known as 'ice,' valued at Bt14 million (some US$466,000), a Thai senior customs officer said on Thursday.

Rasoul Boroumand, a 34-year-old Iranian, was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi Airport Wednesday night with packaged crystal meth, weighing some 3,980 grammes, Rakop Srisupa-at, director of the Thai Customs Department Investigation and Suppression Bureau, told a news briefing Thursday.

Flying from the Iranian capital of Tehran to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates before reaching Thailand, the suspect behaved suspiciously while passing through the terminal.

Customs officers asked him to stop for a baggage check and found crystal meth in four plastic bags covered with dark blue carbon paper. The packages of the illegal drug were hidden in a briefcase inside his suitcase.

Mr Boroumand was charged with possessing and smuggling illicit drugs without permission and was transferred to the Narcotics Suppression Bureau for further investigation.

Apart from impounding the crystal meth, customs officers seized 2,777 methamphetamine pills with an estimated street value of Bt1 million ($33,300) found at Suvarnabhumi airport’s mail centre, June 13 through July 9. (MCOT online news)

"Mr Boroumand was charged with possessing and smuggling illicit drugs without permission......"

Who would I apply to to get permission?

  3. Hello,

My name's John Learned. Living in Bang Saen, working in Chonburi. Interested in Sheila. Been in Thailand and Laos since Kublai Khan sent the Tai tribes scurrying southwards. I have a 4 year old daughter who needs a friend. Had a wonderful adopted street dog and a wife until 3 years ago. Dog fell from the back of a pickup and disappeared. Wife abandoned our daughter and took off a month later with an Austrian sex tourist or a Thai truck driver or both. I miss the dog.( E-mail is removed to protect you from spammers.) Mobile number is 082-052-1579. Hope to hear from you.

    Cheers,

  4. I think it more likely he's in competition with Chalerm's drug-gangster network. Chalerm, like Toxin takes a very dim view of competitors. Remember the recent 'extrajudicial' killings of suspected drug dealers - over 2000 of them? There were soon more drugs on the street than before. "Watch my finger pointing" (so you won't notice what my other hand is doing.)

  5. It is hard to believe but this used to be a lovely, quiet charming little village mid-late 90s. I got pulled off the bus near VV many years ago and sent back to VNE. I had to stay the night.

It was a great place to break the bus trip from VNE up to Luang Prabang and positions fwd until about 1999-2000 (visit Lao year). What a disaster!

I stopped there years ago and literally found it impossible to find Laotian food. That is not hyperbole. Sure, many farang restaurants had a few farang faves on the menu at 8x the price but not only was the food overpriced, you can be sure it wasn't authentic AND farang restaurants I always think of as dubious in hygiene dept. I located ONE noodle shop - I ate every meal there.

    What a craphole

I second - worst breed of backpacker. It's the promise of WEED. I encountered some totally bullshit Israelis on a minivan ride back down to Vientiane. Was about ready to pay the driver to leave them on the side of the road. I got a prime seat because I walked to the depot, spoiled baby backpacker Isrealis all got picked up. One bitch wanted my seat. As if I should just give up the best seat on the bus to this ugly, smelly hag. "I'm sick" - she was hungover! Well, they all decided to annoy the hell out of me the entire way to Vientiane singing their bullshit communist military and kibutz songs. Even clapping their hands directly over my head singing and yelling. They annoyed the driver to no end as well - each one took a turn, begging the driver to stop for a pee. Then they would all pile out and smoke cigarettes. We were about an hour late getting in and the driver was NOT happy as he makes his living ...DRIVING. I loathe the people - I have a million of these Israeli travelers tales. A million.

Israeli and English backpackers make Arabs look like polite, culturally sensitive people in comparison.

  6. Pay the fine at the airport as you exit the country.

The maximum fine is 20,000 baht.

You won't be blacklisted, so can return to Thailand without a problem.

How can anybody say with Authority that there will be no issues on any subsequent return ?? I would suggest that immigration can level any amount of difficulty and fine should they have reason to do so.

Try overstaying by 70 days in the UK and see if you can return with no problem.

Thailand is no exception and why should she be.

Why? Because they want your money. I've overstayed about 20 times without a fuss.
