I live about 5 minutes from Safari World and the wife has been after me to go with the kids and now that i've seen this there is no way in hel_l that I will take them. I would rather spend that money and donate it to an Elephant rescue center if there is one.

Picked up my Sportivo yesterday afternoon a few hours before heading to the airport and back to work, just enough time to familarize the wife with driving it. Plan on doing a few trips with it in a months time when i'm back. But very pleased with it so far and the service from our local dealer was fantastic compared to the previous on we went to.

Delta airlines is the same! I did a trip from Nigeria to Atlanta with them last month and it was horrible, the seats reclined all of about 2 inches, and the service was the **its as well. Thank god it was a one time thing as I will never fly them again.

My wife was told by the dealer we went to that ours should be there when I arrive back in country October 4th.

Hoping for a speedy recovery for all! This hits close to home for me being involved in the helicopter industry.....

I'm in a similar situation as my wife stays at home and has no income and I work overseas, we have 2 kids and 2 Siberian Huskies that are getting bigger and finally decided that we should get something bigger as the Jazz no longer had enough room. We went into a Toyota showroom in BKK to look at Fortuners and talk about financing and when we told them we were willing to put 50% down they set up an appointment the next day with Ayuthya to see what they could do. The guy came out to our house and we gave him proof of house ownership, my wifes ID, my passport as well as my wifes bank statements showing I deposit approx.40000 baht every month, and also gave them a copy of my bank statement showing my salary deposit every month. They did not ask for a letter from my company and he went away and 2 days later we were approved. We are now waiting for our Fortuner Sportivo to be delivered in October. I was very surprised at how quick it was and that they didn't want to see anything else but maybe it was because I was putting half the money up.

Anybody know of any schools in these areas where a guy can learn a few hours a week, seems to me most schools or training centers are located a ways from where i am and am not to keen on having to drive long distances.

I live in Hathai Rat and am looking for someone willing to teach Thai to me a few hours a week possibly. I work out of country for 28 days and then am back in Bangkok for 28 after that. I would be looking for someone to teach beginner to begin with.

Went in again today and saw a briefing sheet on the new Sportivo III TRD Edition and a few changes were made like new front garnish, new wheels, new rear spoiler, new rear garnish and a few other things. I am still impressed with it and placed my order today. I am putting 50% down and getting 1.2% interest plus they are throwing in a bunch of extras like window tint, First class insurance, side mirror LEDs, and other things when i(actually the wife) irons out the details. I will be adding the rear camera as well(i insisted we get this because my wife has only driven our Honda Jazz and I think it's a wise thing to have for her) and was quoted 3-4000 baht for that and may add a drop down TV for the kids in the back. I know they haven't made any real changes to the Vehicle but I am impressed with previous Sportivos and the look and decided what the hel_l. I was almost going to buy the Pajero sport as I was impressed with that as well other than the navigation system set up and a few other things but in the end we chose the Fortuner. I am expecting to take delivery next time i'm back in country in October now.

Went into Toyota in BKK yesterday about the new Fortuner and was told that the new one is coming out shortly. The guy I dealt with said he will have specifics and price around the middle of September and will contact me as soon as he gets them. He was also saying that first deliveries will be in October. I was wanting to buy a Sportivo earlier this year but didn't have any left so hoping that the new Sportivo(if that's what it is) is similar. If not I may just buy the Fortuner Navi if need be. Was also looking at the Pajero Sport and was impressed with the list of options. Will post on here as soon as I hear anything.
