My favorite is a traditional mens barbershop on Central Road just a few meters from the Second Road intersection. (Walk a few meters up from the gold shop on the corner towards 3rd Road). Get a nice (and safe) wet-shave with a single-use straight blade. I think the cost is still B 100 (or get a haircut and shave for all of B 200)
Might try this out. thanks. Do you know the name so i can google map it? Might not be on there though. haha.

Anyone know where I can get a good razor face shave in Pattaya? A place where I won't get cut up. I know of a few good places in BKK but not Pattaya.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

In Tuk-com there's a shop called i beat, i think it's on the 3rd floor and they sell all Apple products and are usually slightly
cheaper than the other sellers inside Tuk-com. They also have Macbooks on display so you should be able to buy instantly and don't be afraid to haggle with them too.
Ok. thanks for the advice!

Hello all,
I recently dropped my macbook and its toast. Anyone know where I can pick one up in Pattaya? I would like to just buy from a store rather than have it mailed. Any places I can get a deal on one? My budget is 1-2k USD.
Thanks!

cool. i'm from ontario so I guess it would be different. My passport got full out here so i had to get a new one. not sure if that tipped them off that i have been gone for over 6 months. I do pay for insurance out here. So I guess I really don't have much to worry about. Thanks for the tips! O'canada!

Would it not be better to also post this on a Canadian forum ?
I am pretty sure someone on this board will know the answer to my question. Plenty of Canadians members here.

I have been away for 6 months from canada traveling Asia. My question is do I have to return to Canada or I will lose my health care? Is there a law that I can't live outside of Canada for longer then 6 motnhs? I have heard from others about having to return to Canad a every 6 months. Perhaps some of you could shed some light on this for me.
thanks in advance!

Hello All,
I'm in Chiang Mai with a full passport that was recently soaked in alcohol from a spilled beer. I keep getting warned by the authorities to get a new passport, so i will be taking there advice. I plan to heading to the UK (Canada is home) soon and don't want to pay a ton for a flight and have them not let me board.
Any tips to speed up the process?

Do they not make a killing of farang coming over for operations and tourism?

Maesai will give you 15 days, as will other land crossings. Vientianne is a beast of a trip, but if you don't look like a dirty backpacker you might get a double 60.
How far is it to the Maesai border?

Hello,
I am in Chiang mai and the stamp on my passport allows me to stay until the 9th of March. Where is the best place to do a border run from here? I am a canadian citizen with a regular passport no visa.
Should I go to laos and get try for the 90day? 8 hour bus?
How about myanmar? is there a close place i can go? Can I get a visa there? I don't mind going to the thai embassy. Is there close to the border?
Sorry, a lot of questions.
Thanks for the help in advance!

Hello all,
I am arriving in Chiang mai saturday night and am looking for a hotel/guest house to stay at. Around $20 a night for a single room is my budget. I will be traveling alone. Wifi is important and something not too noisy.
Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!
BTW i have searched the net and just wondering if any locals know of hidden gems.

supposed to get 15 day and has 30 day stamp

Hello,
My friend is visiting from Europe to tour south asia for a few months. He went to cambodia to renew his visa then came back the following day to thailand and got a 30 day tourist visa. Should he not of got a 15 day visa? He's crossed the border a few times since arriving already and always got 15 day upon returning to thailand. Could they have made a mistake? Should he only stay the 15 days because he's worried he will be in trouble if they scan his passport and it shows he's overstayed. Or does it only appear on the stamp which shows he's allowed for a month.
Any help is greatly aprreciated.
