I have 3 telephone set on the same tel line on three jack points.

I just need to find a good telephone technician or company.

This happened twice in the past 6 years and I know it can be easyly fix by a tel specialist technician.

1 / I had tried TOT technicians first but they have problem with the management of my condominium building and refused to come even for private matter. So this is no more an alternative for now and for the future.

2 In fact the problem is really the TELEPHONE> The ADSL connection works normally. Only the phone is not working.

So I would like to have a telephone specialist or company that could take care of this problem at the moment and for any future events.

My TELEPHONE AND ADSL are no more working on this two line for nearly ten days.

TOT send a technician that find everything was normal on the outside lines. SO they said that the problem need to be fixed after the junction box from Tot responsibility to Private building responsibility.

And here is the problem as the company they were supposed to send to take care of the problem do not show since too long time (10 days).

So I have to find a technician or company myself to fix this as soon as possible.

It is probably as simple as a salty junction that need to be cleaned somewhere at this same situation happened 3 years ago and was easily fixed that way.

Does anybody knows a telephone technician or company that could come quickly (RAWAI - NAI HARN AREA ) to fix my lines and put them back to work (TOT said that outside lines are working normally)

Well I have the same experience since two weeks - Very Annoying

Your post is interesting to me because I thought it was coming from my Cat Telecom Line.

Friday I went to Cat telecom Phuket town to open a ticket that is now closed.

They came same day, checked the line and >>>nothing special line was ok .

They came to check my inside installation and modem. And remarked that it was very hot (as usual).

They think the problem comes probably from the modem.

So i will change it as I had already planned to do it and bought a Linksys

What is interesting here is that It happened to my cat telecom line

But it happens also to my TWO different TOT ADSL lines with two other different modems (same as you mentioned for yourself)

(I was not paying much attention to that because TOT connexion is well known to be unreliable and it is my experience since years so I was not much considering that point.

Cat telecom connexion has always been totally good and reliable it is the first time I have such a problem with my Cat adsl connexion).

Now that I Know it happens to you with 3bb in Kata ( I live in Nai Harn beach) .... It opens new food for thought.

It may come from modem router overheating or .... ? Something different to be found.

Let's see first what the modem change will teach us in the following week

Do you have experiences with the hybrid disks? SSD for root and swap partitions and normal HD for the data and media would be nice combination.

For the laptops I still go for the IBM/Lenovo thinkpad's witht the nipple. Unfortunately it's more and more difficult to find a good and handy laptops.

No i have no experience with hybrid or SSd HDD.

From what i know hybrid has 4 additional gb of fast accees memory where the most used part of software are dynamically stored to reduce access time.

But it is not the same as a SSD HDD whis is a HDD with very faxt access to all the storage space which is mainly useful for OS and programs

I intend to replace one of the Hybrid disk for a ssd one for that reason ( fast access to OS and program), user datas on the normal 7.200 tm one .

For Acer versus Asus, yes i am informed about that. But the Asus is hard to beat with a I7 core 8gb and a 17 inch screen Full HD 2 hybride Hdd 1Tb. for high intensive usage. in fact it compare with a gamers pc alienware at a much better cost.

I'll have a look to see if there is something similar in acer product line and compare.

What's an I7 8gb? Processors are rated speed wise in Ghz. The fastest I see on the notebook market, is an i7 2.2 Ghz quad core...

I bought my asus g73jh one year ago in Singapore. I'm very happy with it, I recommend you lose one of the hybrids and install a SSD instead for your OS and programs.

Asus' warranty is top notch as well. You get 1 year accident warranty, incase you drop it or spill your drink over it. And two years normal warranty. They are both global. I had to use it twice,. Once in Phuket Town because my screen broke, they ordered a new one for me and installed it hassle free. And once in BKK my power brick died, drove over to the asus service center and walked out with a new brick 10 mins later.

Looking For Good 3-4 h thai and oil Massage at my home each week in Rawai Area

As a 60 year old gentleman my back need massages at regular intervals.

Not the bad and tourist ones from young and inexperienced masseuses that you can find in any of the hundred shops around

but a good one from an experienced independant masseuse

I use to have 2 hours to 4 hours (Thai + Oil) each week at my appartment (Rawai)

My masseuse just married went away from phuket and i am looking for a new one for a long term arrangment

I would like to hire her on a yearly regular basis for 2 to 4 hours each week. ( I live here on a retirement visa since years).

A good massage is not so easy to find specially at home so if you can recommend an independant one that accept new customer I would be grateful.

Check out the want ads at GT Rider. You may have to come to Chiang Mai to get the bike but you may get lucky. Funny thing is the '00 A/T I sold came from Phuket but I had changed the rego to Chiang Mai.

If the rego was changed from Phuket to Chiang Mai, it should be no problem to have it changed back to phuket.

And i would be more than happy to go to Chaing Mai if the opportunity is there.
