Only have 2 cameras. Need something simple as I have to rely on my in-laws to install as I am in the uk now

Thanks for your reply. I did try a VPN but that did not work either. I have never used vpn before so May have been something I did wrong as the software knew I was in the uk, possibly because of my email address.

I would appreciate if anyone can advise on an app that allows connection to my home cameras from anywhere. We have Tuya home which works in Thailand and Taiwan but not in the United kingdom. We bought a house in Thailand and my father in law and brother in law live there. We want to be able to view from the uk. Any help please

Whether his renomination was unconstitutional or not is irrelevant as pita was ordered to step down due to an order from the constitutional court. Well that is my understanding but I am sure the experts on here will correct me if this is wrong.

My wife who is Thai live in the UK and just have annual holidays to Thailand.
She has just bought a house in her home village which is what we have wanted for many years. The plan is to stay in the house for our 3 week holiday each year. Family will be living there also.
what is the law regarding me staying there? Does my wife have to report the fact I am there or not?
When I fill in the information card when arriving I will be using this home address, would that be enough?
Appreciate any advice please

Quite confused where they are getting the new case numbers from. An average of about 6000 per day new cases. When you check on the covid worldometer site I have noticed that the total number of tests conducted in Thailand is 14,913,135 to date. This figure has not changed for more than a week so what is happening?
just curious

Simple way of getting more tourists. Open Thailand to all double vaccinated visitors who are willing to come here. NO Quarantine and No tests, just come and enjoy a relaxing holiday. Allowing alcohol sales and consumption would be good too.

In my opinion they knew that he needed Dialysis and that is the reason for the visit this time because it is free here. Stage 5 CKD does not suddenly appear, I have stage 4 and have known for 3 years and have regular check ups.
What I think they should have done is apply for Discretionary Leave to Remain which is often granted in similar circumstances.

Being self-employed and being able to support myself is an accomplishment that should be celebrated, not insulted by the government.
So why does he need a "go fund me" page?
Something does not make sense

Thank you for the replies
We have now managed to book a taxi, luckily my wife kept a taxi drivers card from a previous visit and rang him. Problem solved

Hi, looking for a little bit of advice please.
My wife and I will be arriving in Thailand from the UK on 24th December.
I was wondering if it would be best to book a taxi on line prior to arriving or take a chance in the taxi queue, heard many different stories about that.
We are travelling to Suphan Buri which is about 2 hours north of Bangkok.
Any advice would be appreciated Thanks

Patrick said: “As I’ve been out of the country for a bit and I’m self-employed, I have to work for one year and then show tax returns.
This is his problem. Even if he was earning £25,000.00 per year he still has to prove it by supplying the required paperwork.
He has been out of the country for a bit.... How long is a bit? Quite obviously he has just started working as a Self Employed cabbie. All self employed people have to supply tax returns to prove their income, this is nothing new.
My advice is get your story straight, get the work done and get your tax returns and apply like everyone else.

Hi
I know this topic has been covered in the past but We have an area that we are not too sure of.
On the outward journey my wife
1. Used UK passport at Airline check in
2. Same for security and boarding at both Newcastle and Dubai
3. Used 1 year expired Passport at Thai immigration at which point told to get a new one Asaph but no problems, thanks for previous advice
Now on the return trip the plan was to
1. Use UK passport at Airline check in
2. Use Thai passport at immigration/security
3. Use UK passport for the rest of the journey.
Is this correct please?
I am guessing at point 1
Thanks

Don't know her situation but most insurance doesn't cover existing conditions. Many people get the shaft due to this.Maybe this be a lesson to people trying to save a few ££££'s by not having travel insurance.
Why should Thailand have to "foot this bill" ?
The insurance companies must be informed of any known conditions before traveling. I contacting mine because I was diagnosed with a kidney problem.... They refused to insure me Thanks HSBC. I then contacted another insurance company and paid £165 to cover me for 3 weeks. Travel insurance is a must these days

Indeed, remember that if she were to use her British passport to enter Thailand she would, for all immigration purposes, be treated as British, not Thai.
Use the expired Thai one to enter Thailand and then renew it whilst there.
Thanks very much for you advice

And 5 weeks on a UK passport would mean extra effort to extend the 30 day visa exempt entry.
And tell her to use the 5 weeks to get a new passport. It's not a big thing.
I thought it would take two months to get a thai passport renewed in the uk. She will be renewing in Thailand. We are only going for 3 weeks holiday

I am not sure if this is the right forum for my question but here goes.
My wife's Thai passport expired just over a year ago. We are due to fly back to Thailand to visit family in about 5 weeks and her Thai friends have told her that immigration will refuse her entry.
Would it be best only to show her UK passport or could she still use her expired Thai one. I am hoping others have been through this as I would prefer 1st hand advice.
We were supposed to visit Thailand last year but due to me being hospitalised, that had to be cancelled.
Appreciate any advice and thanks in advance

Might sound like a silly question but did they apply using the correct documentation and/or used the Settlement Checking Service?
-
I think it would be useful to the experts on here if the full refusal letter was scanned, with names removed.

Might be useful to look at this link

well, what can i say?
after being told last week that my wife`s case was unworkable and its likely to take another 4-6 months, which would be a toatal of 15 months, it mysteriously arrived today !!
we are ecstatic
just waiting for a call back from our local registry office to book her citizenship ceremony, once she has attended she can then send off for her passport which, they say, takes between 6 and 8 weeks to be sorted.
hope it doesnt turn out to be 6-8 months with our luck.
anyway, thank you for your comments , its been an interesting thread, just hope that others may benefit from all of our comments.
yipeeeeeee
Sincere congratulations.
It has been a long wait but once your wife gets her UK Passport then it will be all worth while.
