  1. I am married to a Thai lady, and currently on a O Visa Extension based on Supporting her. Also working with valid Thai Work Permit. I will have a smallish Government Pension paid by Austrian Government, which is paid as per Austrian Standard Rules 12 times a Year, with 2 Month (May and October) double amount payout. When i add up my total Pension income, i should (of course based on the Euro to Thai Baht rate in the Future) probably have enough income to qualify for the 400000 annual income necessary for retirement as married person. For this calculation I need to add up all my Pension income (10 Single Month amounts and 2 Double Amounts. That puts me a little over 400000 Baht at today’s rate for 2025. I should also have some other income based on Interest of Funds here in Thailand as well as abroad. is this calculation valid and a path to Extension of stay?
  2. Well, I was airside, but had not left the Country (lifted off ground) technically. Some people here claim that you haven't left the Country until the plane either starts taxiing, or lifts off ground, or crosses the border airborne.
  3. The following story happened to me a few Years ago: My Flight out of Suvarnabumhi was scheduled to depart 10:00 or 10:30 pm on my last "Permitted until" Date (I was on a 90 Day Single O Visa that time. Checked in to my flight, went through Immigration at around 8:30 PM, got the exit Stamp. While waiting at the Lounge the message appeared that my flight was delayed substantially, and new Departure announced for 4 AM on the next Day. In this situation, have I been on Overstay?
  4. About a week ago my wife dropped me at Udon Thani Airport for my (Solo) flight to Bangkok. At check In I realized I forgot my Passport at home ... Not enough time for going back to pick it up. But I had no problem checking in for the flight with my Pink ID. At the Hotel in Bangkok (4 or 5*) I am a regular, they already prepared the Check In form using a Passport Copy they had scanned on a former trip. No problem, also no problem checking in at Suvarnabumhi for the return. Still will keep carrying my Passport on all domestic Flights in the future, just in case.
  5. So, as these answers somehow differ on one point, may I ask for clarification: First Time 3 Month Money in Bank? Second and consecutive Extensions: 2 Month? Or the other way round?
  6. Did you actually read the article you just quoted? It says that, once you hold a Work Permit (I.E. are legally employed by a Thai Company) you are then allowed to do other jobs, unless you participate in activities not allowed for foreigners, or the company which issued and sponsored your Work Permit does not approve.
  7. A friend of mine has a valid Work Permit that allows him to work at the location of his business. He would like to open a second business. This will be a different ztd. Company. Construction for the Premises are soon to begin, he asked if the new address can be added as another workplace? He told me he heard that there have been some changes here about 1 or two Years ago. Asking at Workpermit office he has been told he can't register new place as it is obviously not ready, that would mean he cannot supervise the construction?
  8. I have a Marriage Extension based on working income in Thailand, approved by Udon Thani Immigration. Before I lived in Pattaya, and I’m did not accept it …. So: Depends on where you live, and the mood of the Imm officer who deals with you …
