Is 90 day available to us citizens? All I saw was a 60-day Visa when I looked last.

I also want to stay about 85 days but was told the return flight must be less than 60 days 

Changing flights is EXPENSIVE these days and I was told by the NY consulate they would not issue an e-visa for 60 days if my return flight was longer than 60 days... 

My inclination is to book my 86 day flight and do a visa on arrival allowing one 30 day extension and then doing a trip outside Thailand and do a second 30 day ... What a pain! 

find a good rental place and rent one. You can bargain for a lower price for longer time rentals. They repair, register etc IMHO

I tried it and it was an expensive disaster...... It started OK and quite clever in many ways but when a $200 USD application was rejected due to a typo of a zero in place of an O I was not happy to say the least. No option to fix, goodbye $ 200 ???? No appeal

Life goes on... then it doesn't.... there are good days and there are bad days. Life somehow teaches us that as you get older, you get wiser, smarter, tougher and are better placed to take on the darker times of life. Not so sure that is true anymore. Today is again one of those bad, bad days. Another friend has gone. Was informed yesterday, that a good friend, who hasn't been in top order for the past few months has gone on to his new location. Mike McCune left this life at CM Ram yesterday. Mikey to us....

Mikey was a big man, yes in physical stature, but to many of us who knew him, a much bigger man in spirit. A man with a very strong presence.

Mikey had a lot of friends, both thru his being and thru his computer advice , at which I thought he was pure genius.

He is currently at Wat Pa Paeng, on Rattanakosin Rd. Prayer services, again this evening and funeral ceremony tomorrow.

Its very difficult to think about this and more difficult to write..... I'm sure others will wish to add to this....

Just heard this sad news. I had not heard from him after several emails and last time that happened he was a RAM too. Apparently his brother is in CM and a computer savvy nephew is coming in April to see what the future of InfoThai will be. He was always generous with his time, hosting for non-profits and was smart as hell!

If you go to the Panasonic website they do not list any Service Centre in CM, but there is a phone number to call in BKK. Personally I find Panasonic products are excellent but their commercial sense and customer service attitude is indifferent. I bought a Lumix camera a couple of years ago but buying additional lenses is a disaster as they do not seem to have any stockist & do not even bother to respond to emails. Which is strange when the item I want to buy is around 40 000 baht. No wonder their recent trading results have been poor, they are turning business away. I will not buy another one of their cameras, good as they are.
