This may not be about restricting and tracking visitors to a country in which there is a political uprising.

I saw this tour in the UK last year .
I just wish i was going to be in Thailand in Feb along with my Thai missus who loves Clapton. In fact i will buy her and her friend a ticket each, so they can go and see what i saw last year.
Go to the gig guys and enjoy, you will not be dissappointed, you lucky sods.
He actually played a good list of the old classics.
This is a link to Clapton and Santana playing live together, Awsome pairing

Makes you wonder how many other temples are affected like this????

I think that bearing in mind the target being hit in this incident, it would serve no political purpose for the Red Shirts, it is highly unlikely that it was a red shirt attack, it would only kill and hurt people who are of similar background and social standing.
As previuosly mentioned , it is more likely to be gang / business rivalry.
If it were a muslim faction, I think they would state it was them by claiming responsibility , as they want their 5 minutes of glory in the name of Allah.

I was on Phu Quoc island Vietnam during this time. the first day was fine but on the 23rd and 24th the winds had picked up and all sea going vessels, fishing boats, local island tour boats were stopped from using the sea as it was too choppy. As a result, zero mishaps. Maybe Thailand could learn a lesson from this.
