  1. If you go to ImageShack and type in "Honda CBR 150i", you get PAGES of images that you have to sort through to TRY to find one. If you change the search criteria to "2010 CBR 150i", you get pretty much the same thing. If you go to CBR Club web page, there is a very good pick of the 2010 CBR 150i, but it's in INDIA, and no mention (according to Google translate) of Thailand. So we all play the "wait & see" game for another 17 days on the 150, and who knows about the 250?

    HI,

Can you post a link for the cbr club picture - cheers

  2. yeah yeah yeah :D

btw, what difference in performance does a FI system produce compared to a carb engine?

And which other Honda is this off? IT's on imageshack as the cbr150i.

    Hi Thomo.

The CBR 150i wishes it could grow up to be this bike.

But alas it isn't, but thanks for bringing back some fond memories though as it's the old Honda 2001 CBR 900RR

  3. Okay, some official pictures.

Went out and found and bought the magazine, not easy to find btw, not exactly a massive publication.

    note the underseat exhaust?

Front looks like a ninja650 to my eyes.

And the Q&A is here if anyone is a fluent reader.

    SO what you think??

    I'll have 2 thanks.

This is actually the 2011 cbr600rr!!!!!!!!!

    Sorry, it's actually the 2010 CBR600RR!!!!!!!

The 2011 model remains the same but with different colours.

  4. A 250 in this styling would be very nice indeed.

I think it actually looks a bit too much like a big bike (CBR600?), it's kind of like you're trying too hard. Like some boyracer with some little old car with massive exhaust and tinted windows etc. I'd feel like a little bit of a chump sitting on it only to have every modded Fino and Raider trying to outrun me, and probably nearly succeeding.

I have a cbr150 now worth 30-35k. Sell it and pay another 45k say for this, or another 70k for a 2 yr old ninja250 and without knowing the performance of the 150i, would probably go for the ninja.

Tha't's because it is the CBR600RR - the 2011 model to be precise.

  5. Ok, I had to go to 4 different 7/11's before FINALLY finding ANYTHING about a CBR in any of the bike mags. It showed the pic of a CBR 150, in gold, but the pic was so small it was hard to see any real details. But in trying to look at it close, if THAT's what they're replacing the CBR 150R with, no thanks. Looks more like a VFR, with NO front faring, and actually resembles the Tiger Boxer.

As for LOSHonda, IF you really do have some info, unless you work for Honda and are afraid of releasing "company secrets", thereby losing your job, you might consider being courteous enough, or respectful enough of the rest of us wanting info, to pass along what you have so we can BEGIN to start to make evaluations, and perhaps plans for purchasing.

Honda has till January 1 to come out with something I like, or I'm getting the Ninja 250.

    Hi,

Giving too much info could possibly cause a few headaches.

The CBR 150i being released is not a naked! The photo's i've uploaded of the new CBR are actually from the filming of a new advertising campaign for the new CBR150i and as I mentioned previously it is styled along the lines of the VFR1200.

Both the new 150i and new 250i will be very similar.

The naked machine you see in the magazine is either a spy shot of the CBR150 in mule form, or it is of the new bike available in Indonesia and India and won't be coming to Thailand any time soon.

The pic I saw in the magazine definitely wasn't a spy shot and it was accompanied by an interview with some hi-so looking Honda chap so doubt it was only for Indonesia or India.

I haven't actually seen the magazine or the picture. Does the picture in the magazine look like the picture I posted? The pictures I posted ARE of the new CBR 150i coming at the end of the month.

  7. VocalNeal

It was a joke, i have seen top speed is around 100-110KM/H top speed is OK but would like more start power, like 0-100KM around the 2.9 second mark. Joke again, wonder how quick it is from 0-60KM/H

I have been reading the posts over the last few weeks, normally just to see judge peoples feelings.

    Regarding tuning the PCX;

Previous posts have mentioned modifying the variator. Do not follow the tuning procedure for the ruckus!!! The variator isn't the same! There isn't a lip. Follow the advice of another poster 'scuddy' and have the stops machined out to allow the rollers on the rear to move further up.

As a correction to Scuddy though, the rollers need to be lightened you can replace them with 16gm rollers, the originals are 18gm. the size is 19.5mm

Modifying the variator will increase top speed.

Replacing the rollers will increase acceleration.

  8. Just saw some pictures of the new 150 in a bike mag in 7/11, looks very nice indeed!

Does it look like this, or different?

    No. It looks like this........

It will be available as 150 and 250, styled along the lines of the vfr1200. But that's all I'm willing to divulge..... have to wait 'till end of October ;)

Honda are planning on releasing 8 new models over the next few months. They'll be showcased from the first week of November, not all of them for the Thai market.
