cheers guys:) dont worry about my visa taking 8 weeks 2 days,that was because it was referred from london to channel islands so took a bit longer,its looking like 7 weeks max at the moment for uk,and decreasing all the time....good luck to all:)

and the answer is YES:))))).....so so happy the wait is finally over,thanks to everyone for the support and good luck to all:)

my wife got the sms today.....processed visa application is ready for collection at uk visa application centre:)....collecting it tomor,fingers crossed:)

Had a phone call this morning from channel islands immigration.They have received the referral for my wife and will process it this week,they couldnt tell me if it was a yes or a no but said its generally a straight forward procedure and will call me if they need any further information.....so fingers crossed everything will be ok and i'll keep you posted on the outcome:)

Yes I agree Suhari the vague message is a killer but it is sent from VFS who have no idea of the outcome, only that the application has been returned to them for collection.

I thought the first 6 weeks would be the hardest but each day is like a week at the moment

We are still hoping to know soon which means I may not have to change the flight date from the 17th November ( I know now that I should not have booked it until after the result)

Been monitoing this thread and must say its been so usefull and nice to see the support for each other waiting for the visa,

We submitted our visa on the 2nd September and got it back today and was successfull it took 7 weeks and 4 days
