I just went private... Used MT-Inter on 3rd Road.... Cost 2900 baht but all done in 5 mins and no queuing..... From what I see it's a shambles at Banglamung.... Rather pay and get it done hassle free than put myself through that circus...

That's why if I knew I needed it during my stay I would get one within 24 hours of arrival, so I wouldn't get fined...

Jomtien Hospital said only if you stayed in one of their hotels they're contracted to.....

No... I entered on a Non-O and will be staying for 55 days only.... If I had to extend a visa exemption or renew my driving licence then it would've been a different matter.... Before covid hit I was entering Thailand six times a year for 11 years under the exemption scheme and never applied for the TM30 unless I was renewing my driving licence.....

That's why I didn't bother doing the TM30 this time.... Didn't want to risk failing 6 day test....

Another vaccine what's the big deal? We didn't think twice when they were babies getting them vaccinated against other diseases..... Unless you're rich and can afford a private tutor or can do the home schooling yourself, I don't see any aother option if you want your child to get a proper education... -
Do you ever feel really accepted as an expat in Thailand?

You're just a dirty ferang as far as they are concerned and it will never change.... -
I did it privately yesterday with a clinic that was on the approved Goverment list.... But they wouldn't do it for free and they didn't scan the pink slip either... Most hospitals i've called on the list say they're not doing the free tests .... it's a shambles... only if you're paying and only if it's for travel and work.... only took 5 mins to get it done with the clinic i used in 3rd road better than going to the circus at banglamung... i just sent a copy of the negative test result to the hotel i used for test an go... as far as i'm concerned scanned pink slip or no scanned pink slip i tried my best it's up to them to get their <deleted> together...

A lot of the hospitals on the government list are not doing the free tests eg BHP, Pattaya City & Jomtien Hospital.... It's a joke... And from what I've heard regarding Banglamung it's a joke no social distancing and not very well organised with long waits. So I've just booked a RT-PCR test in a private clinic and going to pay. Not going to queue with a heap of folk and risk catching it and taking it back home to the family. From what I've heard they have huge queues of ppl going into quarantine as well..... I'm counting my first day as day 1 just to get it out the way and relax...

Thanks for the reply... Doesn't look good. I think I'd be better biting the bullet and go private and pay. Why take the risk of catching it and passing it onto the family.

Hi all, Has anyone done the mandatory second 5-6 day after arrival RT-PCR Test in Banglamung Hospital? Was it busy? And or does anyone have any recommendations where to get the 2nd test in Pattaya? I have to get one on Friday or Saturday. Thanks in advance.
