  1. Thanks!

Now that weed is legal, is there any cool bar that sells weed? Ideally I would occasionaly go to relax, view the sea... (btw is it legal to smoke in the bar?)

Also for buying  you are right I saw on Chaweng beach road near green mango. I also saw 2 other places... 1 shop in Tesco Lotus Chaweng food court, one in central also near the food court. I notice all those were strictly empty with no customer. I wonder why in Chaweng beach street maybe 2000 people are drinking booze but none is buying weed... Maybe too new? Maybe low quality? Maybe Thailand isn't yet a cannabis destination?

For those who ask, from what I saw prices starting at 400Bahts per gram (which is very expensive for/if low quality), but it goes 1000++ for some (I don't know much about weed)

PS : Can't believe we are openly talking weed on forums... 2 weeks ago it was jail, seems. Can't believe they sell it in Central...

  2. Thanks all for your replies. Helped me much.

Went to Tesco food court, quite cheap and not so much increase. Maybe 50-55 instead of 40.

And aircon, clean, spacious, free water...

About gasoline, in my country (europe) it's 2.10eur or so per liter then about 80 bahts. So here it's almost half price?

While in Europe it doubled up, here it went only from 37 to 43? (I speak of price 2-3 years ago)

    Thanks

  3. Thank you very much for your answer. Indeed found the stamp.

2 more question please, if you can...

Can you confirm I musn't worry about extending the 30 days entry for children as they can't be fined for overstaying?

Also, say my current exit date is august, 6, does it change anything about the final date if I go tomorrow... Or begnining of august? In all cases should I be granted until begining of september?

    Thank you for your help

  4. Hi,

I am since 3 days in Thailand. i would like to stay a total of 55 days.

I entered by air, without visa (nothing was stamped in my passport and no TM card so I guess I am currently allowed 30 days?).

Can I extend for 30 days at local immigration?

Don't tell me I have to go Malaysia or Vietnam?

About kids, I must not worry, right?

    Thank you for your help.

  5. Thanks, I just arrived so I didn't see all increases.

I paid taxi airport to Chaweng 400B, not sure it raised (it was already expensive lol)

I paid 3k for 1 month of click, seems 2 years ago a PCX was 4k.

Also I wonder why thai food went from 40-50 to 80-100, doubled up in 2 years? I know some things such as oil, gaz, electricity... are more expensive but by 20% not 100%.

I just have a nice cooked fish for 320B... It was good but 5 forks of fishes isn't worth that.

Anyway I don t mind that much as I don t live here.

    But I dont really understand.

I hope the 1900B immigration fee for extension didn't raise ????

  6. Hello, we are a family in Chaweng. We used to eat very good padthai, khaopat, for 40-50B 2 years ago. Now it's more like 80 or so, maybe it is normal with Covid and Ukraine? But if you know good place for our everyday meals, I am interested.

I am also looking for good fancy restaurant (in hotel preferably) with good value (say 300-500 per guest but for a good experience).

Thank you for your help !

  7. Hi!

I come with wife and 2 kids in july and august.

I would like to rent an appartement (in residence) for 1 or 2 month.

I am asking then your knowledge :)

I would like, if possible :

    - for 2 adults 2 children 3-6 years

    - max 5-7min scooter ride to chaweng beach (anywhere on that beach)

    - clean and correctly maintened building

    - a swiming pool

Budget is 20k-30k per month if possible (I use to rent similar things for 20k long term but some building seems now old and badly maintened, maybe due to the 2 year stop of Covid?)

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi,

Sorry, I don't get it. Deemoney allows to send money OUT of Thailand without hassle? Seems it was impossible without an invoice?

When you send money OUT with Deemoney, I guess you do a local transfer, to a Thai bank, then they send international?
I am astonished this is legit. I thought Thailand does not like too much money going out of the Kingdom, without a serious reason like an invoice for goods?

    Thank you for your help.

So, reading post #17 , we can't send money OUT of Thailand (at least not to Europe)?

Then, if only to send to Thailand, how can Transferwise and its ridiculous fees and easy to use be beaten?

    Thanks!

If leaving from either airport in Bangkok you will not be fined for an overstay of less than 24 hours

At other airports and at border crossings you would be fined 500 baht for one day of overstay and nothing more.

There would certainly be no ban unless you got caught on the way to the airport to leave.

Thank much for your reply. Is it considered "leaving from either Bangkok airport", if I have a flight from Samui to home, through Bangkok as a 3h stop, within the same airplane booking?

    Thank you for your help.

  11. Hi

Maybe I did a big mistake. I hope you can help me.

I have no visa but I am allowed to the 30 days visa exempt.

Ibooked plane ticket, that will make me land in Thailand october, 11th, and leave on december, 10th (then 61 days including first and last day).

I plan to do a 30 days extension at local immigration.

Do you think I will have a problem of overstay? Will I be banned from Thailand? Do they have a 24 hours tolerance as I read somewhere? Will my entry + extension allow me until at least december, 9th, then play with the 24h tolerance?

    Thank you for your help.

You can get one 30-day extension per entry either with a tourist visa or visa exempt. This means that you can stay a total of 60 days if you originally entered visa exempt, and a total of 90 days (60+30) if you entered with a tourist visa.

Thank you all for replies. BritTim, what I mean in this case situation will be the following in 6 months from now :

I will have extended by 30 days 2 exemption visa, 2 times, 6 months ago and 1 month ago. Each time I entered by flight.

Then can I still go abroad and make a 2 months tourist visa?

    Thank you for your help!
