  1. I contacted my local Immigration Office. I'm going to go for the retirement visa. Seems the easiest option. Thanks for the previous information.
  2. On another point, if I decided to renew my marriage visa instead with the limited days. Would I receive 30 additional days stay in Thailand for the under consideration period?
  3. Hi Team. I have been on a one year marriage extension for a number of years which I do myself. Well my wife does most of the work. I work fly in and fly out every 28 days. I arrive back in country on the 15th Dec and my current marriage extension expires on the 21st Dec. Do I still receive 90 days on arrival? Due to me working 28/28 and the marriage extension having a 30 day under consideration time I have had to lose days at work. Firstly is it easy to transition from marriage to retirement extension and secondly what is the under consideration time for the retirement extension? UK passport holder, over 50 and more than 800K in the bank. I have a yellow house book and Thai bank account. Thanks in advance.
  4. He is under 16. Is there any difference with that.
  5. My friend passed away a few years ago (British). His son with a Thai mother needs to renew his British passport. She contacted me for assistance in his passport renewal. I expect it should be relatively easy due to him currently having a UK passport. Can anyone assist to tell me the process? My thought is using VFS for a renewal. Will there be any difficulties due to his father being deceased? They both live in Thailand but have visited the UK previously. Thanks in advance.
  6. Hello My marriage extension expires 21 Dec. I will only be in country 18 November-12 December due to work. When is the earliest I can renew my extension? I will be out of Thailand until into January. Thanks
  7. I did my own and it was £151 and a night out in BKK. I am told the visa/passport agents do a good job though. My mum used Key Visas in Pattaya. Cost was reasonable.
  8. Passport arrived. 13 days. Very pleased with the service.
  9. I submitted my UK passport for renewal 05-07-24 with VFS in Bangkok. Does anyone have experience of the waiting time for it to return. On the GOV UK website it says four weeks. Thanks
  10. I am going directly to Bangkok so won't make it to my local branch. I will try to get a statement with address online. If not I can try a bank in Bangkok.
  11. Hi I have made a booking for a new passport at VFS in Bangkok. I see they have a new location. My question is section 10 Countersignature. I am travelling directly from work overseas to apply for my new passport. I have nobody available to countersign or sign the photographs. Is this still required when going in person or will the VFS representative confirm who I am? I also require some type of proof of address which I don't have, will this be an issue. All of the mail we receive is in my wife's name. Thanks in advance for the information. Toby
